Don't know why I still play your games.
Bungie, i will never buy or play Marathon! I've been playing Destiny pretty much since it came out. You've time and time have continued to break Destiny. Then you pulled all your talent to work on a game you already did in hopes you will reign again. You will be lucky to break even. You should have done a Destiny 3. It's pretty sad when you do a strike, and it glitches to where you can't continue. D2 is too big and glitches. You continued to listen to the youtubers and streamers. They steered you wrong. You took a keyword out of your games. FUN! Grinding isn't fun. And for the life of me I hope you figure that out and start making your games fun. Halo fun. Destiny in the beginning fun. You extraction game won't be fun.

I played Bungie era Halo I played Destiny 1 beta and then the demo then got in during HoW I quit with Lightfall and I'm glad I did and honestly wish I quit sooner. So much so that if I had any idea Bungie was going to nosedive this soon, I never would have played Destiny 2. Starting with the Director's Cut in 2019 this franchise and Bungie have been in a constant downward spiral. There has not been good leadership or positive net choices made since then. Sunsetting, DCV, making and then ruining armor 3.0 after getting it sorted out, removing some of the most fun and coolest builds all at once, dumbing down the game's already lacking systems, ignoring PvP, ignoring Gambit, ignoring the Vanguard playlist, list goes on for what would be several pages in 12pt font. There have been legal issues after legal issues and predatory business practices since the start of Destiny 2. This company has made it a point to lie and continue to show zero care or respect for its employees or customers. They abandoned Halo to make Destiny and will abandon Destiny to make Marathon. Let them go under. Any company that behaves this way does not deserve to operate. Sony needs to recoup their losses by carving up Bungie into different studios and hand pick the senior positions for them to get any sort of return themselves and to even have a chance to give anything meaningful back to the Bungie community out of any form of respect. Also on a broad note for gaming, we are getting very close to full industry crash. Once Sony dips into the red from their shortcomings and Ubisoft breaks up and closes studios with a good handful of big old names such as Bungie going up in flames, that'll likely be the start of said crash. Its will definitely be the start if Activision and EA also suffer some big losses. Too many big companies own too much while being too greedy and barely delivering while having absurd production costs. Too many communities have been absolutely torched by their devs. Goodwill with gamers and devs generally is gone and has been gone for years.

I see you are upset about game time! We hear your feed back and have created a game mode. Enter( I Win!) You play a jumping puzzle with no jumping or hidden pathways! This is the whole loop. You load in. Chest spawns. Open chest. Create your reward. You get to pick every variable of every item. Example of weapon……. You pick three barrels, three magazines, three first row perks(all available perks) three second row perks, three origin traits, three elements. Here is the kicker……. You get to pick three different slots to equip it in. So that means primary secondary or heavy. Since you can do that, you get to pick which ammo it uses. Armor example….. you get to pick the new armor traits and select values. Three different armor traits (talking about the new traits, brawler, Tex mechanica) artifact times three. This new activity is launched from the eververse store. Cost USD $20, per run. You can only purchase enough silver at USD$100 at a time. The other $80 goes right to Bungie’s higher ups.( they need a golden parachute)! This activity can only be run 9 times per character. Enough to get fully kitted armor for each. 5 items. The other 4 can be your choice but I recommend the weapons. Just choose auto rifles with rockets for each slot. Then pick a wave frame sword that has micro missile grenades for movement tech. Enjoy this “9” themed activity. Once again we hear you do not like the grind. So have it your way however you want.

8 RepliesIf there was any real competition for Destiny out there, we wouldn't see so many posts like this. But the unfortunate truth is that no matter how bad the game/company gets, there is NO game, like this one.

They've literally said destiny 3 won't ever happen. And with sales being lower than projected for last two expansions. I highly doubt without massive improvement this would ever become a thing. Sony is their boss now and if things don't succeed as Sony plans Sony is known to cancel whole studios for failure.

I'll try marathon but always hated extraction shooters. Hopefully, after release, they'll focus more on destiny.

1 ReplyI don't know why I still play the game. It is true that there aren't any games like it out there but I think Bungie has -blam!- up the game so much that it can't be saved. I think the game will slowly die, especially when the new DLC comes out and no one buys it. I have all the previous DLCs and I don't think I will ever buy another one. Wouldn't wanna be disappointed and give Bungie my hard earned cash. And Marathon kind of looks like a clone of Apex legends. D2 pvp is so bad right now and Bungie makes a new pvp only game. I don' get it...obviously management at Bungie don't know what they're doing. When Marathon fails, bungie will announce destiny 3. Marathon will just be another concord.

I don’t hate destiny 2, I hate Bungie and their mismanagement and greed. They’ll never take my money again. They’ve shown nothing but incompetence over the last couple of years and they seem to be proud of it. The fact they pushed out a season with this many bugs and to have some parts of the story voice acted and others not is just shoddy. It’s half arsed and not even close to being a polished product. This many years in and it gets worse, not better, they should have every aspect of this game nailed and yet it is falling apart. Bungie does not deserve the player base it has.

1 ReplyEh I don't intend to buy Marathon either since I hate PVP on pretty much every level. They have a hard enough time attempting to maintain Destiny 2 with all the bugs and such in the game.
