In Warframe if you have completed the normal star chart , you have the option to start again on the steel path, with Significantly buffed enemies , but also buffed rewards
But if you want to stay on the normal path , you are not punished for it, and won't see any gameplay changes
This would give Hardcore players a spicier challenge but let casuals enjoy the game like they want
IDK if that's even possible with D2s dinosaur game engine , but it would solve alot of issues

I will continue to unapologetically compare Warframe to Destiny. Both are live-service games, and clearly one has it figured out way more than the other.

3 RepliesWe had a system already, the power curve with the positive side instead of just negatives. People who want it easier can grind it up and get that fun powerhouse fantasy. People who want it harder can choose activities that put them in the negative and be all elite. Not sure what made Bungie think that raising the floor and trying to force people to do more was the smart move. When it was obvious that the rewards from higher difficulty wholly unneeded in anyway whatsoever was a major cause of it. That’s why people don’t push their boundaries unless they want to for the sake of the challenge, cause the rewards aren’t there. No reward for the effort.

Pay attention to their posts and game updates much? Guessing by this post you do not. They are going to allow all players to change every aspect of activities for better rewards. A more controlled path for level of difficulty equaling more desired rewards.

Or take a page out of Massive's playbook for The Division 2 and allow players to select the open world difficulty along with a select set of modifiers. The higher tiers results in better gear and the additional modifiers grant bonus XP

It wouldn't work out as the power scale in Warframe is much higher than in destiny.

They can put nightfall modifiers on destinations, but that would separate the community even further GM patrol though, imagine if it's a reality

There is no pleasing everyone, that's the problem; Bungie needs to quit trying to achieve the impossible.
