As a community we request the immediate removal of Pete Parsons as CEO.
He does not reflect the views of the community or have the communities best interest at heart OR those who work beneath him at Bungie as he has shown that he has no regard for the developers, those who have tirelessly worked so hard to to make Destiny or their devotion to the game. All he has shown is his tireless dedication to himself to gain wealth and flaunt that wealth by showing the employees of Bungie his multi million dollar car collection before heartlessly firing them days after.
That is not the sign of a leader but the sign of a coward who only thinks of themself instead of those who do the hard work so he can collect that bonus he definitely does not deserve.
I implore Sony management to rethink Pete Parsons position and terminate him and replace him with someone who doesn’t think of themself but to produce the content that the developers are capable of without the threat of termination because of bad management.

Sorry, I can't focus on this. Pete is outside the building doing donuts and loudly revving up his Lambo!

Complain on X and tag all those you want to hear the message. This forum is just an outlet for us. But enough people get something trending on X and there may be more responsiveness.

Edited by Morakx: 12/13/2024 3:36:48 PMIf you fire the guy, the next guy with dollar signs in their eyes will take his spot. What makes you think this greed infested society will have any chance of recovering from this dumpster fire called capitalism. Gaming will never be as innocent and consumer fun focused as it was in the past ever again. In todays day and age, everything has to be monetized to the absolute maximum to squeeze the last penny out of the addicts. No other CEO would act differently cause literally 99,999999 percent of higher ups have that trash mindset. Thats why the world is in shambles as it is now.

You speak for yourself and no one else. Another self appointed community leader 🙄 Do I think he was a great CEO? Not particularly. Whatever Bungie agreed to pay Pete is between Bungie, the shareholders & Pete. Whatever Pete chooses to spend HIS money on is his business and no one else's.

1 ReplyPretty sure the car thing was like over two years and he wasn’t flaunting it the day before the employees were fired, it was a disgruntled ex employee (understandable) and saw it was debunked awhile ago. And no matter what you or I say or wish would happen it most likely won’t.

It’s a little presumptuous to act like the voice of the people, wouldn’t you say?

12 RepliesSince Sony aquired Bungie the game has only gotten worse. If Sony were to remove Pete and replace him the new management would be far more koney hungry and care far less about the game. Sony cancelled basically everything for Destiny because they werent getting enough money. Sony would simply implement pay to win and pay to play subscription services to truly milk this game for everything it has. Sony was one of the worst offenders when it came to lay offs and in reality it most likely wasnt Pete's decision to lay off the staff and instead the order most likely came from Sony.

Sure. BTW: not in my name!

I'm not trying to be a grammar nitpicker, but if you're going to put out a manifesto Lord Sony is probably not going to make it past "communities" before he tosses this into the fire pit. Its only been up for an hour on the Bungie site that they're leaving it on because of the threat you pose so I won't say anything about your ability to gain signees thus far. I do have to point on that in all seriousness if the gift wrapped sparrow is going to be the tipping point that would really be kind of sad. Also, I do wish I had gotten that sparrow so maybe if they come up off the sparrow we can retract the manifesto?

Not just Pete, we have to think about the recent downfall of destiny and what/who helped market and push this iteration
