Given the amount of things we now need to spend glimmer on in other parts of the game and the RNG involved in finding that perfect weapon roll, 25,000 glimmer per Iron Banner engram is way too steep, in my opinion. Even when at max glimmer it's possible to run out of glimmer pretty fast if you focus enough engrams. Even popping a glimmer tonic isn't a sufficient enough method of regaining glimmer in a timely fashion due to the cost of engram focusing.

the real crime is not having a 100% drop rate of something inside the pool after a win

Glimmer should be reduced to 12,500 per purchase. Guessing they want the focus to mean more…but to put it simply, the focused drops (for me) have been 95% horribly rolled.

1 ReplyBeen hookin in the tower to pay for all this crap!
-
Welcome to Destiny, how can we inconvenience you today?
-
3 RepliesEither reduce the cost or uncap glimmer(and all other currency)
-
Yes the glimmer cost needs to be like at least halved.
-
So true especially as you are likely to get rubbish perks on weapons rather than anything worth saving.
-
It should be 5-10k tops or no glimmer at all to focus. This has gotten ridiculous.
-
2 RepliesAll focusing costs are high. Plus Strange Coins cap of 99 is ridiculous. 😤 There should be 500 or even 1,000 to stack for Xur. We need a way to earn Deepsight Harmonizers too, because new players who haven't done crafting will be way behind on weapon patterns.
-
4 RepliesMake glimmer uncapped. 500k is such a bad idea. Unlimited glimmer, let the players time matter.
-
4 RepliesI'm having such a good time that I don't even notice my glimmer count. Whooopeee!
-
3 RepliesCrucible matches net you roughly 10k Glimmer last I checked. Heroic Public events net you around 15. It shouldn’t take that long to get 25k glimmer. I don’t see the issue. People need to learn to play the game for the game and not for the grind. It will make grinds much, much easier on your mentality.

Pocket money for a man like me
-
I agree, 25k is a little much. I have over 40 Iron Banner engrams waiting to be opened. If I wanted to focus them all, there's no way I could. Also, I sort of wish there were focusing options that cost 3 engrams, like there is for Shaxx, so I could burn the amount of engrams I have down quicker.
-
Gotta have someway to spend the 15+ million glimmer I have sitting in the vault
-
-
2 Repliesl would like the glimmer gone from the focusing part and I would like to see maybe an IB reward dropping from the end of a IB banner game
-
2 RepliesYou can exchange unused currency for glimmer with Rahool.
-
Exactly… literally I have way too many engrams to exchange and not enough glimmer… These 25k per weapon costs are crazy expensive.
-
I wouldn't mind it if we could effectively stockpile more glimmer to be able to decrypt all 99 engrams in one session.
-
5 RepliesDont focus, it seems to be bugged right now. Doing so seems to activate the perk RNG bug they supposedly fixed. I've focused over 60 engrams and you seem to have much higher odds of getting the same 4 perk combos vs claiming them and hoping to get the weapon you want. I made a post on the help forum and have had a few other players say they've noticed the same thing.
-
2 RepliesIt’s absolutely ridiculous. Even putting on a Glimmer tonic 😂 it doesn’t give you enough in an IB match. You have to go spend an hour in the Pale Heart which kills the glow of playing the game.
-
2 RepliesGlimmer cost is too high and whats with 3 engrams per 1 item? 1 to 1
-
1 ReplyEdited by The Hermit IX: 12/4/2024 2:09:35 AMThey need to make glimmer gains larger and double the cap. As a solo player, I use max glimmer mods, a potion and run 3 heroic public events to get enough glimmer for two rolls after a win in IB. The way chill clip drops fall, you need 10 engrams so that’s 30 heroic public events. I got the armor and the rolls I wanted but my air trigger roll is a 4/5 so I’m still farming until I get my 5/5.
-
Agree.. it's way too expensive. Everyone is complaining about running out of Glimmer.

3 RepliesThere's only one or two more I really want and they're going to have to do something about the vault space/no crafting thing. They're charging us out the wazoo and then there's no room in the vault. Why don't they charge for vault space to put this stuff?
