Bye everyone just deleted my three characters
On a whim for no apparent reason, I decided to delete all my characters. Had over 100K in pvp. Probably 2000 hours or more in the Destiny franchise. Had a great time. Played 10 years. I turned 50 this year and it's time to do something else with my time. My son could not believe what I was doing and was trying to rip my controller out of my hands lol
It's just a game.

Edited by Guardian, Archon Of Light: 12/2/2024 8:59:56 AMGood for you, I forget who did it , but when they made it to the new world, they burned there ships to force the crew to commit to carving out a foothold If your not getting anything out of a game anymore, it's either time to take a break , or quit all-together, and deleting your characters is the equivalent of burning ships after landing on unncharted territory , remove the option to give in and run away , or in this case run back Me, I always come back, I play a variety of games, but there is something unique about this game I can't find anywhere else, so I am eternally bonded , and will never quit until they cut the servers off for good

2 RepliesEdited by CORPERATE COMMANDER: 12/1/2024 7:11:28 PMTbh I'm with you since 1st I'm getting older and d2 nowadays just feels like a slog like endgame is supposed to be a challange but they overtweaked it when it's designed to be farmable for weapon rolls but they take too long nowadays for too little reward so im playing other games that bring enjoyment something d2 lost when they started catering to carrys and streamers , for example 5 hours of gms last week never even got the roll of gl i wanted ,then 2nd reason is bungie has already started to nerf things like abilities just because of pvp, a dead playlist ,which all nerfs always carry over to pve which only benefits the same two player types I mentioned above . I'm enjoying final fantasy xvi atm which I've never really been a fan off final fantasy games but I'm really enjoying this one atm Stalker 2 is a great game it's getting update after update for bug fixes from a dev team that care about the players enjoyment Wu kong another great game 11/10 God of war games all great Tomb raider games /uncharted games I've tried first decendant a while ago actually enjoyed it but didn't go all in since I already had destiny but I think it's time to give the first decendant the chance it deserves Hogwarts legacy is supposed to be a huge game Mortal kombat games have an amazing campaign with movie like cutscenes Ghosts of tushima Witcher 3 had a next gen update a while ago for graphics and supports rtx if you wasn't aware of the update Or try freelance modding for games which is what I do ,since I like to be involved in games but don't get to play as much so it's nice to make mods for other players that enjoy games from company's that have brought me joy over the years also get paid for it and raise money for charity at the same time Either way ,ggs guardian and I hope your able to find another gem of a game to enjoy in your spare time or something else entirely ,I also deleted my characters a while ago don't get me wrong I did come back after a year but my playtime on d2 is pretty minimal tbh lol
