It should never take 10 minutes to get to a single DPS phase, even solo, and it should NEVER take 5+ damage phases to kill a dungeon boss. It becomes less about skill and more about patience, and dungeon runs taking hours isn't fun or fulfilling.
If it wasn't required for dungeon seals, or Guardian Rank 11, this wouldn't be such a problem. Solo dungeon runs could be purely for the masochistic people. But the fact that it is means that you've inadvertently incentivized paid services. I'm seeing low rank players running around with the new dungeon title, and yet when you take them into a dungeon, they're running around like a chicken with their head cut off, and producing damage numbers that would lead you to believe they're fighting the boss with a PRIMARY, and not even an exotic one, either!
Please, for the love of God, at least scale the boss HP and/or ad density. Heck, just one or the other would make the experience more appealing to a wider audience.
Also, before you come into the comments like 'skill issue', I've got the titles for Duality and Spire. Didn't get carried to them. Sitting at 6/10 for Ghosts and 5/10 for Warlord's because the thought of soloing either of them gives me PTSD at how bad the previous two was.
I'm not gonna read comments on this post. Knowing how much of a cesspool the community is, I'm sure it's gonna be 90% people calling me bad at the game. Before you say anything, look at your own raid.report or dungeon.report, and decide if you wanna compare against mine.

Dungeons are made for three people in mind. If you want a challenge that scales to fireteam size, do legendary story missions. Dungeons are endgame activities, not a participation trophy.

3 RepliesEdited by SynK Deagle: 10/27/2024 1:20:03 AMKid, you filled your post with nothingness and your dungeon and raid reports are mid asf. Why did you think that was a good idea to add that in there? You solo flawlessed one of the easiest dungeons and thats it, your raid report is filled with nothing but red marks indicating failed runs and your only “flawless” raids are final boss checkpoints. Get out of here, no wonder you need dungeons made easier for yourself.
-
You’re soloing something meant for 3 ppl. Tf do u expect. The whole point of a dungeon is that it’s made for 3 ppl. U want something that scales for solo go play a campaign mission. Though it sounds like u would prob die alot in that too.
-
I'm over this. The developers don't care about solo players - even though they make up the vast majority of their player base.

Edited by Rams: 10/27/2024 12:18:09 AMThey should add a mode that allows for fireteam scaling. What they shouldnt do is give out the solo/flaw cosmetics for completions in that mode. Solo flawless should need to be done in the 3 person difficulty.

3 RepliesI kind of wish they just gave up with solo dungeon stuff. If they were instead made into 3 man raids, I feel like that would be more fun. The contest event felt like a 3 man raid, it was imo far ahead of the usual 1-2 hour stomp of a new dungeon

1 ReplyEdited by ㅤ Avvor: 10/26/2024 3:55:41 AM“If it wasn't required for dungeon seals, or Guardian Rank 11, this wouldn't be such a problem.” You don’t need these seals or g rank 11 if you can’t do them you just aren’t at the skill level to earn those purely cosmetic titles. “I'm seeing low rank players running around with the new dungeon title,” -yes you may see that because guardian rank means literally nothing when it comes to skill level “Please, for the love of God, at least scale the boss HP and/or ad density. Heck, just one or the other would make the experience more appealing to a wider audience.” -This is unnecessary because solo dungeons are not a thing made to be done by everyone just like how not everyone is meant to go flawless “before you come into the comments like 'skill issue'” -By definition complaining that you can’t solo the dungeon or your finding it a struggle is a skill issue “I've got the titles for Duality and Spire.” -gonna be honest not really hard achievements my friend anyone could do em “I'm not gonna read comments on this post.” -Bro made a lovely nothing post then good luck failing your dungeons “Knowing how much of a cesspool the community is, I'm sure it's gonna be 90% people calling me bad at the game.” -deservingly so “Before you say anything, look at your own raid.report or dungeon.report, and decide if you wanna compare against mine.” -God and you called the comments a toxic cesspool with this level of arrogance for someone so mid Even if my stats weren’t better than yours Your complaining about soloing a dungeon not even solo flaw (also would be sad to watch someone complain about btw) just solo it’s fair for anyone half decent to call you mid P.s your stats are just average

Solo is a choice.

Dungeons aren't meant to be done solo, at least not easily. There's rare emblems associated with solo dungeon completions. Making these easier solo would invalidate those emblems. This is never going to happen.

15 RepliesI’m almost 50 with arthritis in my hands and hip so long play sessions actually hurt. That being said dungeons are perfectly fine the way they are, I solo flawless every dungeon because when I finally beat it I feel a sense of accomplishment and that my age and arthritis hasn’t stopped me from doing what I love. If they make them easier I wouldn’t even bother doing them. Also you can take breaks you know, just don’t let it sit for longer then ten minutes, I take lots of breaks, I just walk by pick up the controller and go through the menu for a few seconds then go back to taking a break.

1 ReplySo true. I soloed Prophecy this morning and was crying, pooping, bleeding and sweating by the end of it.

I have done solo flawless all dungeons with the exception of Shattered Throne and Duality (I just don't like them, I've done them solo tho), and I don't think they should tone down the difficulty or the add density in any way for solos. All 3 classes have their own broken builds to deal with adds, so there is really not an issue there. That said, I do agree that a change to the bosses' health bar is needed depending on the fire team size. But on the other hand tho, I'm sure you have seen some videos of people two-phasing the Corrupter Puppeteer on solo, so it might just be a skill issue on our part after all lol Some of us couldn't care less about the guardian ranks btw, they are just not important. And while I don't do raids that much, I've done them all, and I'm pretty good at PvP

8 RepliesYou’re attempting content that is meant for 3 people. It’s supposed to be hard. To dumb it down would be to take away the purpose of doing it solo.
-
4 RepliesAs someone who has solo foawlessed all dungeons except the new one I agree and disagree. This may sound super elitist but it would kinda suck for the accomplishment of me playing really well and beating a super tough foe mainly in the newer dungeons solo flawless. But it would be a much better game design to scale health and ads to player size. They could use multiplicity from legendary campaigns?

1 ReplyWhile I feel like Bungie likes to go overboard constantly with each successive Raid or Dungeon release, particularly with Boss HP, I disagree with it needing to scale it to the fireteam size, it is a challenge after all. I would prefer to see the damage phase length to scale instead as it is usually quite short, (typically to slow down 3 players and is very evident in the Spire of the Watcher dungeon) which ends up taking much longer due to this if you are running solo. Warlord's Ruin had a fantastic final boss damage window because there were so many of them, which was great for a solo clear. The 2nd boss was a bit of a pain though due to their insane health pool, but the window was still reasonable.

Edited by Tall: 10/25/2024 8:36:13 PMHot take: there’s a difference between ‘solo’ players and ‘bad’ players. Solo-ing dungeons is not meant to be easy.
-
1 ReplyYou are doing the work of 3 people solo Scaling would diminish the challenge and turn it into a strike
-
Simple fix. Make Solo Operative active in all Dungeons.
-
Shitty design decisions by bungie, who would have thought
-
Not going to call you bad at the game, but no, it doesn't need to scale. Solo dungeons are supposed to be hard, aspirational content.
-
I don't think your suggestion is a good idea. If you want to solo the duengon go do it. If you don't because you can't figure out how to make it palatable then changing the game to suit that isnt the answer. Soloing dungeons is a cool part of destiny and making it easier defeats the purpose of the dungeon solo. What is the point of having all these super powerful builds if i don't need it? Makes the whole reward systems seem worthless. Players need a highly challenging activity to flex in and push builds. That's what the game is now and it's fun.

4 Replies16M health is kinda nutty ngl, but more than 5 phases? That’s a skill issue bruh
-
10 RepliesYeah! Raids also should become soloable too!!! I want to get everything easily!!!
-
1 ReplyI've solo flawless'd every dungeon except this new one. These most recent dungeons (Warlord, Ghosts, Vesper, etc.) bosses need a MASSIVE health nerf. They should only take 2 or 3 phases to kill solo, not 10 or more.
-
6 RepliesThis isn’t a hot take. People have been saying it since Ghosts of the deep had 2 5 phase solo bosses.
-
27 RepliesI can't get off a full DPS phase for Grasp of Avarice. They always spawn WAAAY too many ads when the DPS phase starts... And I'm a Hunter. There is no bubble, barricade, well, or anything. The answer is "don't get hit" which considering enemy accuracy and aggression is increased against Hunters (let's argue about that), that's not happening.
