Bungie said it themselves...
"players have been able to steadily climb in Power...due to the absence of a Power level cap increase...we’re confirming today that we also won’t be raising the Power level cap in Season 22. We’ve seen a ton of positive feedback on this decision from players who appreciate being able to play at their own pace, rather than feeling compelled to chase Pinnacles each week."
So why are they bringing something back that the majority of the community HATED. With the dungeon coming out with a contest mode the week of release...why would you NOW choose to bring this HORRIBLE system back.

Its truly cold and wretched. What's left of the community may not withstand this surprise attack on their diligent commitments to the game.

Oh my gosh it’s 10 levels. You all are talking about it like it’s the next coming of sunsetting. It’s not that bad. it’s not going to matter either, so it’s completely irrelevant for most of the player base. In a completely sane world where people used their heads, they would see this power increase and not care.

4 RepliesIt's really not that serious. I don't like it or want it either, but it's not a big deal at all.

Lying has become a Bungo core competency.

11 RepliesIt encourages people to play together and try new things.

4 RepliesEdited by Ferus Lux: 9/22/2024 7:07:04 PMA 10 point power increase and everyone is losing their marbles. It's actually funny. To me, some form of leveling gives me a reason to do other activities. Something to work toward.

2 RepliesIf Bungie was smart (they’re not), they would HARD backpedal. Completely cancel the power band changes they want to implement. They say they’re going to change, they say they have a new path, this. This is their opportunity to show that they’re really going to change and listen to the players.

7 RepliesEdited by Guardian, Archon Of Light: 9/22/2024 11:17:06 PMBungie also said this themselves
Hey, all! With The Final Shape, we introduced a wonderful feature called Fireteam Power with the goal of making it so friends could always play together no matter what their Power levels are. We’ve been very happy with Fireteam Power and how it’s removed the Power barrier that was previously preventing players of different engagement levels from playing together. With this improvement in place, we’re revisiting some of our previous decisions that sought to achieve the same goal, namely Power Band increases. Before the Lightfall expansion, increasing Power caps by 10 each season provided new goals for end-game players to aspire to and added value to completing pinnacle activities such as Raids and Dungeons. Fireteam Power will still be there so friends can always play together, even if some players choose not to pursue the new Power caps.
The forum members are knee jerking without reading like always Slap in the face lol, grow up

Do you believe you have some sort of relationship with bungie other than simply being a consumer? If not then in what world is this like a slap in the face? What you quoted is irrelevant due the changes made with fireteam power when final shape released. Quote what bungie recently said about the change where they touched on what you quoted. Edit: the poster guardian: Archon of light posted what bungie said. Have a read.

No it’s nothing like being slapped in the face lol. I don’t like it personally but some players wanted it back so here we are. It’s only 10 power levels on a single character to do all three.

6 Repliessome players loved the power grind, that's why they added it back, and this time is a optional grind, that's why this cryforum is funny
