The Token system right next to the Champion system have been some of the worst integrations put into the game to "challenge" players. It more caters to Selfishness over cooperation especially for fireteam finders for players who maybe don't want to chat over mic for activities that don't really need it. Token system leads to higher skilled players dread pairing up with randoms who may die to unfortunate circumstances, leading to several wipes just cause you simply can't revive after the first time? that's always just plain ridiculous. You've slowly over the years have gotten rid of "Hero moments" that make this game give you that rush on hard content with the replacement of players constantly saying "Wipe" even though you can clearly continue on if you can survive.
On top of the token system, there's no reason to ever play defensive as Datto stated in a recent video. You outright nerf Bubble titan making it so the Axes are the only choice to pick for boss DPS and since you decided to take out the 30 second timers for rezing someone on harder content, even more reason not to bring bubble since thay was the charm of the super in D1.
I implore you to bring back the D1 system of rez timers over tokens hopefully leading forward. With D3 being a thing later on, I beg you not to bring this Token system back so we can have the "Hero" moments return.

3 Repliesavoidable deaths ❌ unfortunate circumstances ✅ So if you enable hero moments by removing shared fate that results in the player being good soloing the rest of the activity while the dead player just watches. That would be horrible game design Also the system you're referring to is implemented in legendary story which is not that hard tbf. Or to put it differently: there are much harder things in the game than legend campaign. If you have trouble running legend, go for normal for your first run and get used to the missions so you know where you need to be careful. Then you can come back for legend later on. Practice makes perfect

I too hate these tokens with a vengeance. It's the easiest and laziest way to make content "hard" and only irritates the living -blam!- out of people save those You-tube -blam!- that love being the 1%ters that Bungle actualy listens too.

1 ReplyI did prefer the D1 system it was more forgiving and allowed for more openness on playing lives. As for D3 being a thing later on don't get your hopes up. Within the next two years Sony will most likely takeover and they aren't obligated to do D3 even if it's in early development.

2 RepliesMaybe instead of revive tokens, there should be like small de buffs. Like if someone dies, reload speed is less for like 5 seconds. And the more and more someone dies the harder the punishment per section of the raid, not the whole raid of course. Like 1 death = Slow reload speed for 10 seconds 10 deaths: Supers recharge significantly slower for a minute Something along the lines of that

5 RepliesYou really want the d1 rez system ? .the one where you just couldnt rez somebody in hard modes ? XD

2 RepliesHonestly for me, the champs are the problem. I'm somewhat fine with the rez tokens minus the fact Bungie has added in far too many instakills and don't nothing to fix them. Champs other than Unstoppables are far too problematic as having an buffed up common enemy that heals quickly is stupid to begin with. Sure Lucent Hive Warlocks can heal, but that is slow compared to the stupid speeds of Barrier and Overload champs. Along with that, there aren't many ways to get Anti-Barrier on your weapon for an actually good amount of time. Facet of Dawn for example is only 3 seconds of Radiant. That's not enough time to break a Barrier champs shield when you also need to avoid his fire so as to not get deleted yourself. Meanwhile his health is returning even while you are damaging the shield so sometimes even when you do manage to break the shield, he's full health anyways. Champs just don't feel fun to fight against and shouldn't have even been a thing back in Shadowkeep.

Edited by ExiIelegend: 6/27/2024 7:53:22 AMIt’s just champs and specific damage values of more uncommon yet strangely more common than normal types of enemy units. Snipers especially with how quick they can refire that shot at you sometimes feels a bit unfair. Ogres are another one to mention. Weirdly enough they are a hit or miss. They either beam you and instant kill you practically or just can’t aim for -blam!-/damage feels reduced further than normal. Tokens never really bothered me as it’s nearly identical as D1 vet raids. The one enemy they for sure need to tone down damage value wise are those damn strand and stasis psion enemies. Those stupid guns fire too damn quick, and they’re practically hit scan on you the player with the velocity of the projectiles and literally SHRED your health if you don’t evade them.
