I don’t understand Dual Destiny outrage
Everyone is complaining that Bungie has once again made the game harder for solo players. But I’m sort of confused. All the best content in this game is locked behind having multiple people, and it’s literally always been like that. Have solo players never done a raid? Like ever? Raids are the best part of this game (if you have a good team lol). Have solo players never done a dungeon? Not a solo dungeon, but a normal dungeon with three people, the way they’re meant to be experienced. Nobody is complaint that the raid exotic is locked behind needing six people, and yet two people for the class item is cataclysmic?

It’s a great mission, people are just mad it takes time to do. They want it immediately, with no challenge. I’ve never seen an exotic like this, that was tied to an expansion, not have an exotic mission of some sort. They want you to bring a buddy, they want both of you to do mechanics. It’s a great mission and idea.

4 RepliesI think in most cases people consider “solo” to mean no communication. As far is they’re concerned, the other players in the activity are just bots. Which is fair. They can actually run most activities this way excluding raids.

1 ReplyHonestly, it's done nothing but bring out the worst on both sides. People do have social anxiety which can be crippling, making posts telling them to suck it up is just disrespectful. But also people need to realise a multiplayer game is probably going to ask you to team up with people occasionally. If all the people complaining just, I dunno, helped each other instead of complaining, then maybe we'd be in a better place.

Outside of raids, every bit of content and exotic in this game can be done solo. Until now.

15 RepliesIt’s a bunch of incel babies that want Destiny to be a single player game. This game has always been an online co-op game. It’s never been designed to be played solo. Now, just like low-man raid clears - some solo play is impressive. But that doesn’t mean the developer is or should cater to this small sect of the community. This is like someone that makes the personal choice to not drive a car desire that their town cater to their needs because they don’t drive. The world doesn’t revolve around you. And neither should a video game.

Edited by Redacted0625: 6/14/2024 12:59:59 PMthis mess was caused more or less by their lack of clarity on the subject while using it as one of the big hype factors take salvations edge raid for example imagine if u will they advertised it to draw in the hype and stuff only for it to release and the players find out it was a four man raid forcing day 1 teams to then cut 2 member of their fireteam loose people would be enraged because every raid has always been a 6 man activity and therein lies the issue every single exotic quest i can recall could be done with 1 2 or 3 players now however its not i feel like that's what this whole issue boils down to

23 RepliesI’ll upvote, but I doubt the sea of whiny, immature, self/other hating loners will ever make this post go from 0 to 1, best let them calm down from all the M&M colorants till they have a good nap to rethink their insane rants and then they might attempt to run this very easy mission with a friend or stranger and unlock the class item whereafter they can get it solo from any chest in the Pale Heart. Lmfao

4 RepliesThe only thing that absolutely requires team are Raids, and some of those can be done solo. So this argument you all spout that this is a primarily multiplayer game is just not true. Furthermore, given that most of the community doesn't even complete raids, would show that there are more solo players to those that roll in a fireteam consistently.

2 RepliesThere are two camps. Those who like puzzles and team based and those who dont. Sadly the appeal of destiny reaches multiple audiences. There should be levels to content imo. Id also like to see more ships/ghosts/animated shaders/sparrows/ornaments as endgame rewards rather than weapons and exotics themselves for the fairness of the lil bit of pvp that we have left. I completed the mission. But i didnt enjoy it at all as we were forced to abandon a third friend(he hasnt played since)plus i hate puzzles and timers. Good idea. Terrible execution. Should be doable as designed for rewards mentioned above… Imo class items should have been tied to Excision the best content the dlc offers. Its pure fun. Inclusive and i woud do more of these rather than a raid for instance. Just my 2 cents

Dungeons are scaled for 1 person , you can tell that by how easy they are with a group A 3 man dungeon is like a classic story mission If the new bosses didn't have insane health pools I would farm them solo , like I do Prophecy
