Some weeks ago, in a period that lacked clarity and sense, I deleted all three of my 1810 characters and emptied my vault as well. I had to unlock stasis again, which wasn’t that bad. Also had to unlock Strand then start getting meditations again, which (imo) is the absolute worst grind. Ikora is a glimmer pit when buying all of the light class fragments/aspects, but has nothing on the grind for strand meditations.

Reminds of something I asked about because I use the same character template for each class. Ultimately led to speculation of combining all 3 main classes onto one character -- for lack of a better name, a Super Guardian. Because every other Guardian is elementally limited in their class while we have access to all elements in that same class.

At the end of the day, you have all your guns and armor in your vault. All you have to redo is the subclass and campaign stuff. Really not that much of a timesink if you really care about changing your race imo. 50 hours max. In destiny time, that's nothing. Get some podcasts on, some music on whatever and it'll fly by. Then you'll be happy seeing your preferred race :)

[quote]What all will I lose that might be a grind to get back?[/quote] The big ones will be: You'll have to unlock 2 of the Light classes and spend glimmer to re-acquire their respective items. (Stock up on items that you can exchange for glimmer because you will burn through it) You will need to replay both Beyond Light and Lightfall campaigns in order to unlock Stasis and Strand. At least with Stasis, you can buy the Aspects and fragments from the Exo Stranger compared to having to redo the quests and you'll need to acquire Strand Meditations again as well. You'll have all the various quests that are character based thrown at you, but you will at least have the option to skip the New Light quest.
