(Or anyone else who might know.)
Why does Bungie.net not have a section celebrating their older games? The only thing I can find is a really brief mention in the careers section: “Destiny, Halo, Myth, Marathon & More” (with an illustration above it).
I wondered if it was something to do with Microsoft ownership before they parted ways, but then Marathon clearly still belongs to Bungie. I don’t know about the other IPs.

This isn't the same studio that made Halo or even Destiny from the start. They should at this point just change the name of the studio.

1 ReplyIf I had to guess it would be because they don't care about them anymore; Marathon only has an official site because it stands to be a valuable IP in the near future.
I wondered if it was something to do with Microsoft ownership before they parted ways.
Honestly, probably just this... Another explanation could be web stuff needs to be regularly updated, maintained, domain space paid for, etc. probably just cheaper to keep them a footnote on their main site, then again, I don't know much about that.

5 RepliesBungie.net used to have pages for both old games and staff. Check out the Internet Archive if you're keen to see them.

3 RepliesFor whatever reason a decision was made to alienate the older fanbase. We used to have a forum dedicated to old games made by Bungie. Then it went away. Then they made it so you couldn't post without having played the latest game. Now groups are going away which are one of the last places you can really have a discussion with people and pretty much the last place you can post without playing Destiny 2. The general message has been: Play this new game or leave

I wondered if it was something to do with Microsoft ownership before they parted way
Probably. When they left Microsoft's umbrella, they made and signed their own "Declaration of Independence" to commemorate their "freedom". So it wouldn't be surprising that they were trying to set themselves apart from past games to make the Destiny franchise seem like it was their pinnacle creation. Though on the outside of their building they do show all their past and present games.
