Please give Voidlocks a proper melee attack

I'm tired of the little void fart Voidlocks push out that 99% of enemies just laugh when you throw it at them. It's so pathetic...

    It’s great in PvP though they should give us a build up charged void melee for PVE.

  • I honestly agree with this. To make things worse, the range is not even that good. At least a possible buff they could add is for anything that applies volitile to have auto anti-barrier. That would at least give it a decent use, but otherwise it's damage is very laughable (especially with how stupid difficulty had gotten) and the knockback is such a pain as some enemies just ignore it and others get put to a safe distance where damage fall off starts and enemies don't have damage fall off.

    • I'll admit the void fart has some niche usability in pvp (even if it's entirely outclassed by celestial fire and every variant of throwing knife), but as far as pve goes I'm 100% adamant that it's the worst melee ability in the game by a lot. It doesn't even apply the good void debuff to whatever it hits, it makes things have a single pathetic volatile explosion rather than applying weakening which would actually be useful.

      • Bungie stole the old middle tree void melee and gave it to arc hunters. This game hurts to play.

      • I play strength builds, especially on Lock, and while it [i]can[/i] be useful, i 100% agree. Wish we had an option like other classes. Give us the one we had on middle tree before void 3.0. Plz.

      • Really? Are you just that bad? Maybe you shouldn't be a Warlock. That Void push is amazingly useful and a Warlock would be smart enough to see that. If you want just pure damage melee then you should go back to Titan.

              • IMO all classes should have 2 melee types a close range and a long range void close range melee is a issue on both warlocks and hunters

              • i had an idea for a melee shoot a volley of six or so void projectiles out of your hand, each seeking out there own enemy, when they hit their target they explode making everyone they damaged volatile

              • The fact that i struggle to melee a shard in altars of sorrow that you have to melee when you are running void makes sense to change it because I hate using up my full melee charge because it auto aims on a enemy or just throws my void ball into oblivion

              • The old Nova Warp melee was so good (maybe too good but it could’ve been nerfed a little to make it more fair). I think we should have that (it would serve as our push back melee) and the current melee should instead pull targets nearby toward its detonation site after a very brief moment. This means it’d actually crowd control rushers consistently (instead of it being a coin toss if the person gets pushed away or toward you) and potentially have some uses in PvE (you could get creative: pull enemies close to throw a grenade, pull them off the map, etc).

              • In pvp this is one of the strongest melees there is because of the fact it can launch you in the air leaving you defenceless due to AE. In pve I have no say but it certainly doesn’t deserve a pvp buff.

              • It could use a buff in PvE, but in PvP, I find it useful for pushing back shotgunners or Titans, creating space, or even finishing players and activating melee damage perks.

                  • They need to first of all make it do 100 damage. There’s no justification for it to do poopoo damage when all it does is push people backwards 30% of the time. Secondly they need to significantly buff how hard it pushes people back because that’s the whole gimmick of the stupid melee yet it’s just as pathetic as solar wind on sunsinger in Destiny 1, anyone remember using that melee instead of flame shield? Yeah I didn’t think so. Lastly it needs a small range buff. Don’t make it like celestial fire’s near infinite range, but the range it has at the moment is pitiful. It has the same range as the snap melee on solar but it fails to compensate with damage or consistent utility.

                      • How about this: Hurl a vortex that weakens enemies caught inside. When using the chaos accelerant aspect the size and linger duration increases.

                      • The void knock back is very strong in PvP.
