Iron Banner is awful
Coming back after about 8 months off… iron banner is the worst it’s ever been.

It's about the same as it was before. I do wish they would tie eruption to the smaller maps, though.

It’s because of the game mode. If you don’t get kills (likely because you’re rusty) then you don’t get buffs. If someone else gets a certain number of kills then they get buffs and eventually get supercharged. Caiatl ruined iron banner. 😭

Definitely looked forward to iron banner in the past. But I think most of you are right, Eruption is trash. I think to make it slightly better, radars need to be disabled. Maybe that would help against the team of 6 basement dwellers that hold hands in their spawn.

The main problem with eruption is that it greatly benefits players with bad connections.They are literally unkillable.

The only fun in pvp is Mayhem now, everything else is so sweaty. Mayhem can be fun because people don't take it as seriously as the other modes, it's just super spam.

Agreed: 1. Game mode needs work, if you get your 5 kills then the team is respawning on the other side of the map, by the time you get there you have 3 seconds tops to get a kill. 2. SBMM, makes the game a slow team fire long range snore fest. 3. It's a laggy mess getting killed through cover and around corners.

Ive had my fill of Iron Banner. Too many laggy players teleporting. Its legit unplayable.

Yes, annoyed at having to do Eruption again. It takes way too long to get the 25 wins needed to complete Glorious Howl for the Seal.

Edited by Grizzled-Wolf: 10/12/2023 1:12:58 PMI agree with the guys below as well, rewards are crap, if you already have the armor it’s kind of meaningless and on top of that you can’t get bounties any more, which I hate, and well PvP in general is not new player friendly the skill required to do well and the pay to win meta is overwhelming, iron banner does get more player involvement but over all it’s basically all the trials guys coming in to mop the floor with every one who didn’t buy the dlc. So it’s always going to feel bad. Even if you did buy the dlc and your playing with the best your still going to run into sweaty players. PVP player population isn’t great and since Destiny 2 isn’t a PvP focused game I guess we all just have to deal with the crap or play something else.

2 RepliesPlayed six games last night with my buddy. I was at the top of my team every time at the end. We lost every game. Also I think the eruption game mode is the worst. Everybody just sits back and camps to get their kills. Not to mention the game is slow moving and times out nearly every time. It absolutely sucks.

It is awful and the weapons are not good. Give us a reason to farm IB and PVP.
