Sight options have almost been entirely sunset from the game. I am now going to list every non sunset gun with sight options:
Multimach (unobtainable)
Escape velocity (only in dares)
Horror story (old version only, scopes have been removed)
Time worn spire (unobtainable)
The guiding sight (old version only, scopes have been removed)
Jian 7 rifle (dares)
Last perdition (dares)
Eternal blazon (unobtainable)
There has never been a gun where sight options have been added when they weren't there previously. Since season of the chosen, we have not had a single gun with sight options. The only guns that have sight options have been grandfathered in by reissuing them; Bungie post sunsetting has never once chosen to put sight options on a weapon
Can we get them back please

You’re missing a few here. Plus I would like to add that escape velocity still is very much obtainable. Xur has sold two god rolls. But anyways, I do think that having customizable sights would be good, just not the scopes as barrel options. Basically every gun in the game is under the barrel system, so bringing scopes back would only disrupt the loot pool, with half the guns having barrels and the other half having scopes. But bungie should implement customization with sights, and I believe they already said that they were going to some time in the future.

4 RepliesAnd people tell me “delete all your sunset weapons from the vault, they are useless”… then I look them up and my Erentil alone has more crucible kills then their entire career crucible count. I miss being able to change the scopes on pulse rifles (like Blast Furnace) as well as customize them on fusion rifles (like Erentil). Years one and two weren’t perfect but I definitely miss some things.

1 ReplyIf you want a scoped 360 auto Gambit has the Herod-C. Aside from that many ranged scopes don't exist anymore outside of scouts. We do need more scoped guns.
-
3 Repliesno we cant. how about you try to get some -blam!- instead of trying to get scopes you -blam!- -blam!- -blam!-.

I'm actually glad, that scopes are mostly gone. I can't remember, how many otherwise "god rolls" I had to discard in D1, because they came with the wrong scopes. And I'm not talking about their stats but about theiir reticles. About 70-80 % of all D1 scopes had some rings or other "fancy" things around the aim dot or their sides, that made target aquisition almost impossible and the scopes therefore useless. Not to mention, that enemies move much faster in D2. Of course, this also spares resources as other people mentioned here, but I'm just glad, that almost all D2 weapons have clear scopes, that benefit aiming instead of hindering or even preventing it as was the case in D1. No more scope RNG roulette, please!

Changing reticle and zoom should have been a fundamental feature from the start.

Speaking of scopes, how does a futuristic game like destiny have such bland scopes? Yeah a few weapons scopes/sights look cool but so many of them are boring and bland. The new sub machine gun you get in pvp needs a floating pop up reticle, not some sight i can find at Cabela’s
-
The reason theyre not doing scopes is out of pure laziness. They said it themselves, they moved away from scopes because it took more effort to design them on the gun and how they visually appear with recoil etc etc. why would you ever expect bungie to work if you keep giving them money?

6 RepliesMake guns with multiple sight options like in d1 🗣️
-
Scopes and other weapon accessories that don't influence the weapon's performance would be cool stuff to earn from the gunsmith.

3 RepliesDo scopes still affect in game zoom view? Ie high zoom scopes are worthless because dosent affect range and has no benefits.?
-
*Laughs in Eternal Blazon 🤣
-
Agreed! Now is definitely the time to start messing with scopes again. Hopefully the devs know this as well and start bringing some guns with the classic scope options.
-
I don’t think they stopped doing scopes because of zoom. They stopped doing scopes because they have to model multiple versions of the same gun for every scope combination.
-
1 ReplyWe won’t because they don’t have the resources to make weapon scopes.
-
9 RepliesNo because they'd have to replace other perks on the gun and barrell/mag perks >>>>>> scopes.
