I'm on a quest from Banshee to get a catalyst. Destruction of targets (450) I have already finished. But the big problem is the calibration. I used this grenade launcher with 2 characters, but the progress is only 25/200. The biggest progress was during the passage of the first seasonal task (15 if I'm not mistaken). But completing raids by Vanguard, Gambit (even with a victory) gives only 1 calibration point each. The task says to go through difficult Nightfalls, but this week there is a difficult boss and this grenade launcher will not help in any way. The quest also says to complete seasonal playlists, but I don't know exactly what quests relate to this. The second story mission, which opens the Arena, also gave only 1 point. Who knows, please tell me what seasonal playlists are. And I would also like to know what methods can speed up the calibration. My seasonal rank is 12 and I have already received the Alpha haste bonus for catalyst missions.

3 RepliesThe step for the Catalyst Quest you are currently on has two requirements to complete: 1. Calibration Data Generated - Progress is earned by completing Vanguard Strikes, Crucible and Gambit matches. You will attain a small bonus to progression through Nightfall completions and winning matches in Crucible and Gambit. It is important to note that you do not have to have the Exotic equipped or even in your inventory in order to gain progress toward Calibration. 2. Target’s Defeated - Progress is earned by defeating combatants using the Exotic. Bonus progress is awarded by defeating Guardians with the weapon. It is important to note that you can gain progress toward Defeated Targets in any activity, even Patrol. Once you’ve completed the Target’s Defeated requirement you can just stow the weapon within your Vault and go about your business, completing the playlist activities above until you gather sufficient Calibration Data. Completing the Data Calibration requirement should realistically require somewhere between 40 and 80 Playlist activity completions based on whether you’ve earned one or both Catalyst Quest boosts from the Seasonal Track and your ability to win PvP matches or complete Nightfalls. This will take time, so it might be a good idea to just let it complete itself over the course of the Season instead of pouring all your effort into completing it quickly. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)

1 ReplyYou don't have to have the weapon equipped in higher tier nightfalls or any other of the activities for the calibration data. Just need it for the targets defeated part.

There are boosts in the battle pass that reduce the required amount of activities, strikes crucible gambit seasonal activities. The first boost is at tier 11, I believe and a second boost available later in the battle pass.

6 RepliesI'm wondering too and now testing it. When you hit Rank 11, there is a double boost for the progress; when you hit Rank 22, there is a quadruple boost. Use it in Vanguard Ops and maybe Hero Nightfalls. I've been using it in Savathun's Spire and Altar of Summoning and I think it's progressing.

2 RepliesEdited by Seto Kaiba: 8/26/2023 11:45:39 PMYou get more progress by unlocking catalyst boosts in the battle pass and you don’t have to use it to get progress but I’m all set on doing 100+ strikes, they’ve been doing this since like Shadowkeep it’s so old
