I use M&K and have Caps Lock hot keyed to the Quest tab. I liked being able to see all my quests and bounties quickly. I do not need to be told which quests are important, I do not need the weekly quest sitting there in prime real-estate saying come back next week. I do not have the desire to play the new new light mission to get Monte Carlo and I cannot even delete it.
Having medals in special events isn't to annoying, but having medals on seasonal activities, strikes, and whatever else they got turned on for is just annoying. They are large, pop up frequently in the center of the screen!, and take me out of the immersion of the game.
They are small things in the grander scheme of the game, but these issues irk me and take away a portion of enjoyment from the game. I hope you are able to address my concerns in someway, such as having an option in settings to adjust and customize such things.
Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns.
[Edit: my bad for the poor wording, I am not calling for a deletion of the medals. I would like them moved out of the center screen and possible be moved to the bottom left above the scoreboard and make them smaller as well (think like Halo).
Also I understand the featured quest tab is helpful for new players; but I am not a new player, it is a hinderance to quickly see the info I want]

17 RepliesI would like to know who was the person who asked for this change.

I don't mind the medals, but whatever's going on with the quests tab is way worse than what we had.
-
It was probably set up originally for Eververse items, but due to recent backlash they decided to hold off on that for a few weeks and just chucked in some useless quests to fill the void. Eventually it will be all Eververse, cos, y’know, Bungo
-
Usual Braindead Bungo dev improvement
-
It genuinely feels like twice the work for half the efficiency, whistles, and bells for nothing imo.
-
1 ReplyMedals are fine but they need to appear away from our line of sight. Sometimes the HUD just has too much going on.
-
1 ReplyWhoever came up with the new default quest tab and whoever approved this clearly does not play this game. It's a big step backwards from the previous default screen. Will we get used to the extra input required to get to the desired menu? Sure... still an absolutely pointless change. Similar to removing glimmer and mats from the main character screen. Or moving the "change character" button to an extra sub menu of the options tab.. Yeah we get used to it, but life was still easier when we could access these from default screens. These type of changes are the opposite of QOL improvements.

I like the medals, but I do t need half my quest screen taken up but the new light thing.
-
It's like some stranger rearranging your desk while you're out. They move everything around and then say, you're welcome. Joe does not play.
-
I like the medals. However, the new quest tab design was a waste of resources.

2 RepliesEdited by jhermannITJ: 8/24/2023 8:58:52 PMTab down, d-pad down... I think it's fine. And you can launch from those tiles now directly. So, for new players it's better... Vets just need to get used to one additional input press. I think that's okay & a fair tradeoff for accessibility and potential quicker loading menus overall. Mine seem snappier, game seems to be running good in the menu... maybe the Vault needs tabs, because that continues to lag and bug out.
-
yeah I don't enjoy having it right there, like it has been, now you have to tab down one I could think of a hundred other things they could fix, but this is what they change
-
I agree, the change to the quest screen is very annoying. It makes it much harder to easily see what quests you're currently working on quickly. And the new light stuff that you can't delete is particularly frustrating when you've already completed it and you can't even get rid of it.
-
Yeah it was fine the way it was
-
The old quest page was fine why tf did they decide to change it
-
That new main quests screen is beyond awful and I cannot fathom why on earth anyone thought it was a good addition. It was fine how it was.
-
100% agree with the medals being too big in the middle of the screen. They’re pretty distracting at times. The new quest screen is really bad. Good for new players and pointing them where to go, but ends up being a nuisance for everyone else
-
horrible take vanguard medals are great
-
Said it before. Bungie do not know what an option is.
-
Medals are dope. Makes reaching a big score easier. Those pop ups for medals go away once you unlock them.
-
The quest tab is OK, but it shouldn't default to it. I don't mind hitting down once to get to the old layout, but it seems redundant to me.
-
2 RepliesThe medals are sick u trippin

1 ReplyNaw, the medals are a fun addition to strikes. You probably don't enjoy them either way, but people liked them in D1. I don't like the tab screen changes. It's just stupid that they keep changing that screen.
-
The medals coming back are good.
-
yes. Please make old tab (one below) our default --win, win. Ppl that like new one can keep just change default.
-
I think they forgot medals existed before making that stupid commendation system. Haven’t played this season, but sounds better
