First off I love, love, love the actual PvP gameplay. There is nothing like it out there. That said? This is tied for the absolute worst matchmaking I have ever seen with Rocket League. I was a 1.36 KDA before starting comp/trails. I believe its now a 1.18? Unless you have a stack or play PvP 10 hours a day I wouldn't recommend playing. Every game is peek and switch, peek and switch, and if you don't have that kind of communication its not even worth it. Even if you happen to get a bunch of solo's they all have 1.5 KDAs and above. Then your teammates will be a couple of 1806 and 1801 new lights who don't even have mods or know the objective.
If they aren't going to fix matchmaking they need to remove quit penalties until they make the progress in trials more about individual achievement and less about the win. If all that matters is wins it will never be what they want it to be. If we are down 3-0 I am hopping off the ledge. Me getting kills doesn't matter so not running forward to just get slapped in the face. I would love to see more people do this to get some kind of action from Bungie. Otherwise you are just feeding streamer and sweats free kills. A forfeit button would also be a great idea. Lowering the games down to best of 3? Not best of 5? Anything to speed it up when I know I'm not winning this game. To all the "but you can always come back crowd"... Don't be stupid please. Odds of winning the game at that point are less than 5%. All you're doing by attempting to win is slowing down the next opportunity. Get me out of here and to the next game.

2 RepliesAnd so what... Sorry but you don't understand Trials. Trials was created as a hard core pvp mode to challenge the best pvp players in the game. The only skill based matchmaking in Trials is YOU deciding that you are good enough to play and win. This has been the case since Trials was introduced in year one of D1. Bungie does not have to hold your hand all the time. If you don't like the team mates you are given then make your own team. There are plenty of LFG sites which cover D2 and Trials.

2 RepliesUntil Bungie can stop blatant hacking on PC and amongst Xbox player on console, Trials will continue to be the most toxic form of PVP within the Destiny game. The winning part and game balance I don’t have a problem with, but to compete against players who cheat makes the game impossible to play.

The only time I did comp was to get the Rose HC and that's it. Never touched it again. I would do it for ToO for the Immortal, idc what rolls I have tho. I just wanna put it in my collections xD

Heads up poor performance equals poor results. Fix that and your problem is solved its not the games fault.

Cant blame you. I just switch character

Would you expect anything else from the 10th circle of Hell?

1 ReplyTrials is dead. Population is abysmal, especially at the end of the season. Trials is all sweats now, and trying for flawless is going to be just luck on who your paired with if you’re not in the top 1%. It’s population does so quickly every season, and it’s population is terrible by week 3. You’re better off just not playing at all. I gave up any hope of playing it. Never played it. Probably never will.

If you're unhappy with your teammates, why not link up with your clanmates, friends, LFG? Then you have the coms and people that play the objective that you are complaining about.

just stop, quit comp and trials before the rage

1 ReplyTrials is for the try-hards. The only thing I think Bungie should do with it, aside from cracking down harder on cheaters and adding new maps, is increase the rank-up system to give players engrams faster. This would make it more enticing for the bad players, increasing player population and allowing TBMM to work as intended.

There’s no SBMM in Trials it’s all RNG. Comp has SBMM but I feel like 1/3rd the time it balances poorly because ELO outliers affect the average ELOs between the teams.

3 RepliesIt definitely needs to be more casual friendly with some sort of mm protection that keeps casuals away from tryhards
