It's looking like a terrible idea just to foster a "don't bite the hand that feeds you" relationship. As well as a way to rose tint all your products...

They want an echochamber. They want people that will say what they tell them to say, think what they want them to think, etc. Toxic positivity at its worst.

The reason why the games in a bad state is because Bungie caters the game to you. Strict sbmm with a forced win ratio. Easy Day 1 raid. Skilless Ability spam Controller meta. New activity is just pressing 1 button....

1 ReplyEdited by Ulzana: 8/9/2023 2:38:53 AMTheir very own Ministry of Truth. What's wrong with that?
-
3 RepliesThis is not going to be good. From what I gathered is, bungie is about to promote and support a different cast of content creators, they're trying to take the thunder away from existing faces of destiny community. I could be wrong, but if you listen to wording, it's abundantly clear. Bungie is soft, going forward it'll be a bad choice to critique them, they are creating their own echo chamber, safe space.
-
Could I possibly get some context on this, did something happen at GCX?.
-
1 ReplyThey are just putting a buffer between them and the community, leaving it up to content creators to deliver bad news so they won't have to deal with the negative responses

Funny thing is it's clear as day what's going on. New dlc to sell, games that bad every single streamer is even airing their disdain. Someone at bungie hq, hey guys big streamer meetup next week, lets send a view guys down there with a suitcase full of smoke & mirrors, promise then the world in future if they become more positive & help us get these pre orders out the door. Remember last year, pre orders weren't what bungie expected so they did a Reddit thread asking what people wanted changing in lightfall & NONE of it happened. Blackburn even said they where starting a new gambit map in late 2023, so another lie. They're worried, I'd say very worried & given these vidocs are filmed months in advance, & how tone deaf they are, & having seen the leaks, it's gonna come across terribly. People are tired, & I really think this could see very low pre orders & I don't know how, or even if, they turn the ship around. I'm half convinced they want it to fail

1 ReplyIt’s clear Bungie diverted all resources and hands to Marathon and left Destiny to die a slow, agonizing death. Given how they’ve completely screw3d the pooch on Destiny 2, do you think anyone in their right mind would risk the exact same experience on Marathon? People spoke with their words. Now they’re gonna speak with their wallets.
-
4 RepliesWell, they clearly havnt listened or done much of what streamers want in relation to pvp. Literally the opposite. But yes, I do believe they are doing a lot of this to divert people to marathon.

2 RepliesState run media
-
Leave the bungie oligarchs alone. Lol
-
And 10 years into the game, it seems kind of late to start a program like this imo
-
What is this referencing?
-
This was nothing but Bungie's way of strong arming streamers into no longer saying bad things about the game, but we will always have the bungie simps like fallout
-
I agree.
-
1 ReplyNo it's not...I'd totally be more engaged in Destiny watching Aztecross with a binki in his mouth while streaming. He'd totally do it too lol.
-
4 RepliesCompanies no longer fully control their "hype narratives" so having a task force to convince *cough!!!! bribe cough!!* them into giving good reviews and promoting their products is 100% nessescery. Streamers could effectively END any game in less than a week if they all collectively put effort into it. Thats why Blizzard recently went into full damage control and did a live stream with the comunity and took heat directly for the **** they pulled with diablo 4.
-
4 RepliesIt's just the start of the Marathon marketing leg. Marathon is going to have to attract a different kind of player than a Destiny player to be successful so they need new streamers to push that because the Destiny streamer base can only appeal to Destiny players. They all kind of played their hand when they admitted they can't go to other games or do other content because their base wont watch them do it. That doesn't bode well for wanting to sell Marathon and eventually Matter.
-
6 RepliesJust securing that Marathon base. Nothing to see there.
-
They offer a day care service?
-
6 Repliesnot really since bungie in 2/3 years is going to have 2/3 games running
-
Destiny’s streaming scene is non existent, how are Bungie catering to them at all? And how does one rose tint a product?
