Why can't trials have a good match making system
Trials should become a mixture of both sbmm and cbmm let me get players who are equal to a little above my skill level also they should make a system so a trials engram is guaranteed after every 3kills Or if an objective is achieved so even if I don't get flawless I actually get some loot these changes would incentivise players to play more since you actually get rewards even if you get stomped and are encouraged to counter enemies by killing them or denying objectives
Would love to hear thoughts of pros except the get good argument because it let's bungie be lazy and makes them give us an -blam!- matchmaking system

3 RepliesTrials was created as a hard core pvp mode to challenge the best pvp players in the game. The only skill based matchmaking in Trials is YOU deciding that you are good enough to play and win. Bungie does not have to hold your hand in everything you do. Having a skill based system means that no one would go to the Lighthouse as a skill based system aims for a 50/50 win loss rate so 7 straight wins would be next to impossible. Remember not everything in D2 is for everyone. As a wise man once said "if you can not take the heat stay away from the fire" but if you ignore that then remember "if you play with fire then you can expect to get burned".

15 RepliesCurrently in trials there is 2 matchmaking pools. One of them is challenger pool. To be in the challenger pool you must have a card with no losses and it will match you with players based on connection only. The other match making pool is practice pool. To be in practice pool you must have a card with a loss. Practice pool will match you with players who have similar stats for that week of trials. As far as loot goes i completely agree there should be more loot in trials. Imo it doesn't even have to be trials loot even world loot would satisfy me considering you cant get umbral engrams anymore.

2 RepliesI am bad and I agree it does take time to earn engrams. And focused weapons almost always have trash rolls but this could just be my rng. Also trials weapons don’t drop from trials matches if I am not mistaken. The only drop I can remember is from seasonal quest and that’s a trash as well.
