I don't think that would've mattered either way. Even if there was only 2 weeks of Iron Banner, the challenge being placed in week 9 is WAY too late.

It sort of does because it’s more that the time limit of challenges being offset has compounded. Because those in have to be evenly spaced which don’t care about the timing of a season and it’s events. It’s why you get IB removing rift during the first week even though IB shouldn’t be in the first three weeks of a season just logically.
