Now I get it people say “moaning voice sounds” no that will ruin the look of the weapon.
1. No it won’t
2. It would be awesome.
3. We could say the same thing about exotic armour/ornaments being able to have shaders equipped to them
4. So please consider this bungie please.
-
But then they can't sell you shaders as ornaments :)
-
most of the ornaments are just shaders anyways. the only way this happens is if you pay a fee every time you equip a new shader lmao
-
2 RepliesFunny thing is that if you have an exotic primary equipped and then if you preview a shader it'll dye the weapon alongside your armor
-
Bungie won’t do that gotta sell those ornaments for cash
-
Bumpity bump.
-
4 RepliesBe very easy for them to do but they probably think being able use a shader will stop people buying ornaments

Edited by blood stealth: 7/18/2023 7:02:38 AMIt’s criminal we can view a shader and it will texture over our exotics to show what it’s like. Close but no cigar
this may not be true for all exotics especially ornament bearing ones
Edited by SuperXtream500: 7/18/2023 9:52:13 PMPeople who say it’ll ruin the ability for people to “recognize” the weapon while there are ornaments that entirely change the model and color are just an enigma to me. I cannot understand your logic, like the logic itself is contradictory and you somehow don’t see it. It’s actually painful to see or know people unironically think like this. What’s worse is assuming that people guess the exotic from the look, pretending that somehow they’re able to discern the model in all the gunfire, chaos, particle effects, and distance. You figure out the exotic from the sound or dying to it. Worst of all, the fact that exotic armor (you can’t die to it so the game can’t tell you) is perfectly capable of being shadered + ornament. But no, it’s *specifically* the guns, the exotics with the most methods to deduce what it is, is crossing the line with shaders. Somehow despite all this, people still advocate against shaders on exotics relentlessly. I will never understand.

Well half the ornaments in the game for exotics are just new color, so they wont do it

Tess Everis runs Bungle and she says no. Eververse would like to make bright dust illegal.
-
One of the most consistent player requests, can 't remember a single word out of Bungie about it. Bungie: Let's say "no" to this, but never tell the community...
-
Bungie is fighting for their soul to not make you pay for it 😂

4 RepliesI really don't understand why we can't but we can put shaders on everything else🤔.The whole shader system needs a rework too.I am so sick of shaders applying a different colour on my armour that is not on that shader icon,For example if I put the Seven sisters shader(which shows 2 shades of black and blue) on my warlocks boots from the Grasp of Averice dungeon it makes my whole legs yellow🙄,Where the heck does the yellow come from🤔.

won't happen (unfortunately) because of eververse, and a lot of weapon ornaments are just shaders. and someone will come in here and make the dumbest argument that they won't do it because then you wouldn't be able to quickly tell what exotic an enemy in pvp is using.
