Fix the hacking crucible is brutal now not playable without hack.

I started out this game as a member of a 3 stack. The first of us dropped out after year 1 and the second plays only a few hours a week. I got them both back on board last season for some PvP. The first raged and left again after a few matches against 'cheaters'. I can barely stand to play PvP anymore with the second because of all the 'that's bullshit!!' that gets screamed into my ears whenever he comes up against something he hasn't seen before. I usually explain what happened when he calms down and we can work on his build and positioning. But he just isn't practiced and struggles for a bit as he warms up. He also doesn't persist with any weapon long enough to get used to it. Spends half the match in his menu and usually defaults back to the toaster and gets pooped on in my lobbies because of it. He kicks my butt in 1v1's. He knows most of my usual tricks and how to play off of them or against them but I can still bamboozle him pretty easily. As for the other guy? I can't convince someone who used to think that the goombas in Mario were cheating that he's just bad at PvP and could improve if he spent more time playing and less screaming. Took him into a private match once to demonstrate his bad positioning and he still blamed Bungie and cheaters. Like wut? Never needed to cheat against a good player so why the f would I need to cheat against someone who barely touches the game?

The player count not only in pvp but pve is a ghost town. If bungie dont change there ways with match making raids and go after the hacks and stop nerfing the players and weapons this game will continue to spiral down to its end.

Play a playlist with SBMM. I guarantee you that you won't run into a hacker there lol.

On console there is basically just modded hardware (not PC level cheats / hopefully adressed in the near future) and very few occasions of ddos and lagswitch. But i doubt you've played against thoose either. Everything else is just lag bcs of peer to peer and crossplay.

2 RepliesCheating isn't even the biggest problem, its matchmaking. Going up against an organized group while you're stuck with people who are running around like headless chickens is not fun. It completely takes any enjoyment out of the game.

9 RepliesWhen the player population goes down, ceteris paribus, the proportion of cheaters increases. That’s only because cheaters invested so much more money into the game, and their lives depend on how they feel on this game. Also note that cheaters have several accounts, not to mention all the carry services providers who also have between 2 and 5 accounts, so whatever population we have now, can easily be divided by two or three to get the actual number of individuals playing. It’s simple, the only players who have “friends” playing this game are streamers. The vast majority of what’s left has may be 3 to 8 “friends” online playing the game.

Both times, I reported them, and they were soon banned. I have never once seen a hacker on console, so the problem either doesn't exist or is so uncommon it is a non-issue.[/spoiler]

I’ve run into so many just today. I wonder if it is a regional thing because I get them in game all the time. So freaking noticeable with teleporting, outrunning supers, 3 shot hand cannon kill every single time - never misses, and on and on. It’s real even on Xbox. There are good players but not perfect.

I can't play with P.C, its a complete cesspool. I've rarely ever come across cheaters in console lobbies but I've played a few crossplay matches with P.C and its people using unlimited supers in Mayhem of all places just to flex that they can cheat. Hackers are bad, but Bungie are scumbags for taking our money and not addressing the rampant cheaters. As Azteccross once said - "a cheater is still a paying customer" and we all know Bungie only cares about money.

It started getting worse a month ago ,now the player count is even lower leaving the sweats and the cheats. It used to be fun when it was better MM and higher player count. But being at the bottom in pvp, don't leave much hope of going flawless anymore. Unfortunately we had 2 clan members that did go flawless a few times but they gave up on it also and are playing a different game altogether now.

Let's not complain about controllers you guys act like it helps us when it actually handicaps us and cause more deaths to us then you think PC players have a way more advantage over console players that's why you see more console players buying modded and custom controllers to compete against them since alot of pvp games now lately are going down the more cross play route on all three platforms The main issue is that both parties are cheating Consoles using third part software and PC using hacks Eversince this game gone F2T cheating gone up it was never this bad before then it was rare it happened then

2 RepliesI got 3 games out of my 50 today with easy-to-tell cheaters. 1 didn't miss heads with a sniper or pulse rifle. And literally just got a 3 stack of brand-new accounts that were flying around and using full auto weapons and going through the walls.
