REPRO STEPS: So I have tried starting to the game from the shortcut I have on my desktop and through the steam launcher and the same result occurs. When the game first starts to load up everything seems normal. The Battle eye screen pops up real quick, than disappears and the game goes full screen. The title screen for Lightfall comes up as normal and asks me to hit enter to play. Once I hit enter, the loading icon in the bottom right pops up and goes through its normal process of saying "signing in", "checking for updates", "verifying content" and all seems fine like the character screen is about to load up. Instead of the character screen coming up, it goes to Installing destiny 2 and says verifying files and gives a progress counter in percent. After about 20 minutes, (I own all of the D2 DLC's so it takes a minute) the screen finally gets too 100%. As soon as that happens, instead of going to the character screen, an error code pops up that says " Servor Error Unreadable game content. A full Destiny 2 reinstall is required." and I get error code "beagle" in the message. I have restarted my PC and tried again, Restarted steam and tried again, uninstalled Destiny 2 and reinstalled on Steam and tried again all with the same results. I have cleared all download cahces, checked all drivers for updates and still no change. ACTUAL RESULT: I am stuck in a loop of having to uninstall and reinstall the game with no change. No matter what I do, I cant get into the character screen of the game. EXPECTED RESULT: after getting to the title screen and hitting enter, the game should load to the character screen, than you can select your character and start playing the game.
