Legend avalon needs a difficulty adjustment
This is probably the worst exotic mission we had in a while. Too many adds, no checkpoints, set power level, catalyst is awful for an awful glaive. And you need to complete the mission on legendary for the seal. Seriously bungie you need rework this mission.

It's the only thing I need for the title but the encounter design is completely -blam!- stupid, midboss especially Get the motes Can't see how many I'm carrying because armor charge etc Also snipers that kill you before a deposit finishes Also wyverns to push you off it even if you kill the snipers How did I pick up no motes when I ran over that massive wad that dropped because vortex grenade I get wanting to make the -blam!- hard but a) first make sure it works b) this feels like they don't want you to win

I did the normal version but around boss fight I put up an lfg got it in few mins can't be assed with legend I don't use the weapon either catalyst perks supposed be garbage I hear

2 RepliesAfter getting the glaive and I think one of the catalysts I haven't touched this stupid mission, it's just too annoying, and considering the unasked for difficulty changes with legendary I cannot be bothered even trying to play the harder version.

I love glaives but not to the point in order to do that mission lol Maybe when I feel up to I'll do it but I am not in a hurry though

Try the Hunter build with Assassins Cowl, Malfeasance, arc heavy MG and special of your choice. Oh, and if using LFG and someone is running double primary, GTF out 👍

1 ReplyI saw in another reply, if you are using the arc build you have now i see why you are struggling. Arc is solidly f tier for any endgame content and its a straight nerf to yourself by using it. Something like contraverse devour or just wellock will do way better. Also auto rifles are kinda just bad :/

Try changing up your build. Getaway artist is not the best for harder content. Also, try to factor in some healing to your subclass through exotics or otherwise.

I remember when it first came out it was something like 35% more damage taken etc. couldn’t move without being razed down instantly. Managed to complete it before the difficulty nerf but it’s still garbage.

Harder than a GM or master raid? Oh well. Life isn't fair even in video games. Sometimes you have to suffer doing things you don't like to get the things you want.

Pretty easy if you go solo with Arc Hunter and AC. Try it with a team and get dunked on. Makes complete sense.
