Renewal grasps are the only things stasis hunters really have to use since mask of bakris cannot be build crafted in since you cannot do anything to get your dodge back faster during the 10 second damage buff (and to those saying frostees, they apply to literally every subclass and is mid at best for stasis anyway).
However, because of the ridiculous cooldown time for renewal grasps, it feels extremely clunky and sluggish to use. Even if you manage to get enemies trapped in your duskfield, strand is so strong at the moment that it could do the same crowd control and so much more so there really is no reason to use renewal grasps when you can perma suspend waves of enemies with ease while also keeping insane damage resist up without having to meet the strict requirements of standing inside an area while also having an enemy stand inside the same area.
It feels extremely unfair that PvE players suffered because renewals was causing problems in PvP and it’s even more unfair that it’s been a year and this hasn’t even been addressed, especially since this is was the fate of many more exotics; it just so happens to be that renewals was affected in arguably the worst way in PvE.

I agree with this, it should never have been nerfed in PvE.
