Matchmaking in PvP is completely broken. Something needs to happen.
I'm not sure I have seen something so broken in all my life. This is embarrassing. 6v6 with busted ability and gun balance is outrageous. 3v3 with poor class balance and the above is no better.
There is not a single competitive game I have had in the last 20 matches. 1.9 KDA this season, and with the people I have on the normal it can only go lower. What is going on with this game?

AGREED!!! Comp matching especially is horrific. Same two/three stacks multiple matches in a row. Point system is totally messed up. Why should someone sweat their balls off for ten plus matches only to lose all they gain in four. You could have all the loot in the world but still not worth the agony.

3 RepliesWell I’m not that good at pvp but honestly I’m sick of just being cannon fodder. It would be nice to match against other people around my skill level. This is by far the most unbalanced matchmaking I’ve ever seen and it’s really making me just not even want to bother with this game anymore.

You guys at 1.9 and above deserve easy and fun games.

1 ReplyBungie have definitely altered matchmaking this season in Crucible. Matches seem to be a lot more harder and sweatier this season for sure. I enjoy PvP; I’m average player but honestly this season is tough; it becomes unenjoyable at times when all we want to do it enjoy the matches we play.

I hear you. I have a 2.2 over my last 10 and I’m 5-5. It’s not even the matchmaking. The lobby balancing is what’s terrible.

PvP is a joke rn and all we get is the actuary report on PvP. They act like they are listening, making a big deal about changes but they fail to acknowledge the biggest issues in PvP.

2 RepliesWhat can we do? These guys that work on PvP are not good at what they do. The only way it gets better is if they bring in people that know what they doing but even their leadership is clueless. I’m glad streamer’s are piling on Bungie as well.

Ultimately, it comes down to the fact that SBMM can't work as intended when the player population is low. In Comp, I'll wait in orbit for 10 minutes to find a game. In Control, I'll Mercy every team (or get Mercied). Destiny PVP just doesn't play well without some form of SBMM, and Bungie's Lobby Balancing formula is atrocious.

Far superior players against us normies. Just spawn kills left and right

4 RepliesAt least they could be honest. Control still states "Prefers similar skill" and i have ppl with 40-50 defeats in my matches and basically every game is a steam roll because no team balancer in the world can fix 2 deviation outliers in a match.

2 RepliesI was a pretty decent player last season topping the leaderboards most of the time and I dont know what they have done this season but I feel like theyve altered something. My matches feel way harder, the sandbox feels a little less balancedand im generally just not having a good time when I go in there anymore. I dont want to have to sweat my -blam!- off in a casual mode. I just want to go in there, use the guns I want, have a decent match and get loot.

I honestly feel like Bungie just decides today you have a good day in crucible or a bad day like some days my matches are fun , I do pretty well and the teams are balanced then some days my matches are horrible facing sweaty 3 or 4 stacks playing like they have a gun to there head and every match is a steam roll even the few matches I manage to do well ,but these experiences are rarely mixed either bad matches or good matches

1 ReplyNothing meaningful is being done about cheaters even though bungLe regurgitates some lip service about it. Matches are not fun either way - either randomly on a team getting stomped(more likely) or on a team doing the stomping. That is not a good experience in any game mode unless you are some total loser that enjoys stomping a team, likely due to someone matched on your team that is exploiting/cheating in some manner. Appears to have migrated into gambit as well, especially the cheaters farming it for faster XP on wins.
