Just curious what is a script? Is it a program that sends input to console which accepts them as controller input?
I’ve seen people argue that those devices “can do nothing more than a controller can do”. But if they send input at the precision and frequency that are impossible for human hands?
Is it similar to macro? I have seen PC friends use 1-key super jump, but that’s for PvE and more for fun than anything.

Easiest example is “rapid fire” or “auto crouch” where your controller/device will automatically spam the fire/crouch input at an inhuman rate upon pressing the fire button. Scuf/elite controllers are perfectly fine because all they do is add paddles and keybinds, that’s it. The eager edge shatterdive combo that mostly pc players do is also a macro.

They're basically macroing devices that are not adding additional functionality to the game, which is why their wording was so dubious. In so many words they low key said they're allowed, but tried to make it look like they're doing something. They're literally doing nothing I guarantee you.

If it's considered cheating to Microsoft, then it should be considered cheating to Bungie

11 RepliesBungie stated themselves that 3rd party devices that give an inherent in game advantage such as no recoil, higher aim assist, etc. Is cheating and will be (and rightfully so) punishable. Separate key binds, however, like paddled controllers or even macros to some degree don’t fit this since they don’t give you an unfair scope of ability. Yes, you may be able to move faster, and I personally believe there should be some in game cap to rapid jumping, but you aren’t breaking intrinsic game mechanics.

only devices that will remove your recoil and incrase aim assist
