It feels like the game is build nog for a happy few. While the "Other" 80% is struggling, not happy and leaving.
I wish I could see the real player count, not the one they create for the investors..
I dislike the game as it is now. It is such a bad/cheap way to increase difficulty like they did. Just wondering why there is even a light level since it does not work any more.
Im so waiting for Starfield.. just hope it is any good...
Peace out

Yeah Bungie is struggling with the game and don’t seem to have competent leadership or developers. I love this game and it deserves better.
-
6 RepliesI took a 2 year break, and the game is exactly the same lol
-
Edited by Muninn: 4/13/2023 5:23:40 PMI played for the first time in a week, completed all the Neomuna weekly stuff and still didn't get any red borders to drop. I immediately turned the game off and switched to hockey ... much more fun.
-
Agree with you, I have stopped playing, too hard & too tedious. I dumbly paid for the season pass, so will still keep checking in case bungie has a rethink. Good luck to you
-
7 RepliesNo matter how Bungie chooses to polish up their game, it’s still a heaping pile of turds
-
5 RepliesNo need to announce your departure. This is not an aiport, bus or train station. Bye ...... but you will be back NLT start of guardian games 🤣🤣
-
18 Replies5k hours but no good at the game? What did you do in that time lol
-
6 RepliesYou aren't alone, they may have hit an all-time peak concurrent player count on launch but they're already at well under half that number currently. This game isn't keeping the majority of people playing. They already backed off some on difficulty, they'll cave and move more I'm betting. Too late for me, they've shown they're listening to the wrong people and have no idea how to make the game something the majority wants to stay engaged in. I'll see how the story ends through video posts, don't really feel like playing through it anymore.

Edited by Hakke Puck: 4/13/2023 12:00:51 AMI am getting to be the same. I took a break last year for a season or so, came back during Seraph and had a pretty good time. Then Defiance/Lightfall dropped and it's pretty much stunk. I got my Power to 1814, thinking it would help. Which it sorta did, at least I don't get one shot any longer but it's still just not fun anymore. I logged in yesterday, did some Bounties, screwed around on the Throne World a bit, considered doing a Legendary LS but thought better and logged off. Was online way less than my typical day. Today will probably be the same or less...maybe none at all. Oh well, at least it's nice and warm outside. Good luck.

1 ReplyIm pretty sure its illegal for steam to not show accurate player counts.....
-
7 RepliesYup..hit the wall today. That`s enough..don`t get on to be pissed off and angry. Back to D1 for awhile..maybe break out all those old COD, Halo, and Doom sitting there doing nothing. This game is just not any fun anymore.

Edited by Nineball2112: 4/13/2023 5:34:31 PMThis isn't a funeral home, you don't have to.... Uh, wait. What?
-
I'm on the fence about talking a break myself. The rewards aren't worth the time it takes to get them and the storyline is non existent. Everything is just mediocre at best right now.
-
2 RepliesI love how every time some random thinks he’s quitting the game, he has to announce it to the forums like they’re royalty addressing the court. No one cares lmao, you’ll probably be back anyways and if not, read the first 3 words of this sentence.

2 RepliesIs Starfield Bethesda?
-
Cya next season
-
2 RepliesStarfield is an RPG. It's not going to be ANYTHING like space ninjas, but perhaps that's what you want. As a noob basically, someone who dicked around and didn't figure out weaponry or my builds, I imagine this would be a terrible season had I remained that way, but it really took minimal effort to get my act together, & all you have to do is follow the meta Bungie gave us. There are so many ways to destroy combatants this season. You just have to get out of your rut. Try a new class, do research, use the artifact mods, use the new weaponry. Idk, it's really not that hard, you just have to adapt.

The city is crowded, my friends are away And I'm on my own It's too hot to handle, so I got to get up and go It's a cruel, (cruel) cruel summer Leavin' me here on my own It's a cruel, (it's a cruel) cruel summer Now you're gone Gonna feel only it was It's a cruel, (cruel) cruel summer (Leavin' me) leavin' me here on my own It's a cruel, (it's a cruel) cruel summer Now you're gone

Nobody cares how many hours you put into the game, when you clearly couldn't improve. Go away, nobody wants you here.

7 RepliesEdited by waterpolo1: 4/13/2023 10:30:37 AMThere is this bot called Charlemagne, it mainly functions in Destiny discords. It tracks all players, activities, used weapons etc etc. Between the reset times on 4/11 and 4/12 this is how the player population looked like Total population across all platforms:
Overall: 1.24M PvE: 1.17M PvP: 341.00k Gambit: 164.54k Raid: 242.41k Event: 13.53k
This does not look like 80% are suffering. Nor does it look like the game is made for the happy few. It seems like people plenty of people are playing and enjoying their time. Ever consider that you might be in the unhappy few? Or maybe you are experience burnout after 5k hours of play and need a break?
-
7 RepliesI better not see people referencing that this isn't and airport. They're a 5k hour destiny player. Totally a destiny vet. This person deserves our respect.
-
I agree we have slowed down playing also . They sucked the fun out of it by nerfing us and buffing the ads way to much. All the new content is such a chore anymore. Not hard by any stretch of the imagination. Being nerfed and ads being buffed is not hard . But what it does is make it a grindy chore that ultimately adds to faster burn out. So at the end of the day you gravitate away from the game. But the game isn't hard its become no fun.

31 RepliesEdited by Obi-Juan: 4/13/2023 1:57:02 AMI've never played a single video game over 2000 hours. I'd love to know what other video game doesn't burn you out after that amount of time. Are there any? That are on par with Destiny?
-
the player count you see on d tracker is real so lmfao , another skill issue player exposed
-
Only thing I find challenging are ships 🤣 adds don't hurt but man the ships delete you in 2 seconds
-
1 ReplyI've burned out a bit lately too. Been taking a break to play through the latest 2 God of War games which has been great. Gotta remember some of us have been playing the game for almost 9 years now- burnout in inevitable without breaks now and again
