For those that don't know, if you have full-auto on in settings, it's damn near impossible to cancel a shot without hip firing an arrow. You have to use VERY precise timing or you're just gonna waste that shot. Which sucks on Verglass and Trinity.
Either make full-auto a separate toggle in settings, or code it so you can let off of the trigger much sooner to avoid the hipshot.

4 RepliesThis only seems to be an issue if you use the analog triggers on a controller for firing; I have my ADS and Fire buttons mapped to the bumpers and have experienced zero issues with canceling my bow shots even with Full-Auto enabled. Obviously it would be ridiculous to tell everybody who fires with triggers just abandon their muscle memory and remap their controls, but it suggests there may be a potential solution having to do with the function of the analog triggers if the devs cannot or will not give bows a separate Full-Auto toggle. 1 ReplyEdited by SoppyBottomBoys: 4/7/2023 8:45:29 PMOmfg, people to cancel a bow shot you just need to HIT THE RELOAD BUTTON or Switch weapons or Sprint cancel or Boost jump (doesn't work with hunters)

1 ReplyThe full auto just shouldn’t work on bows, problem solved.

1 ReplyThat’s a precision weapon. It’s not meant to be full auto

Oh wow I had noticed that I was having bow cancels still shoot more recently but never realized it was because of full-auto but it makes perfect sense.

Full auto is selectable in setting. To stop a drawn arrow just initiate sprint.

1 ReplyI’ve been farming Oryx for a few days with Leviathan’s Breath and have never come across this issue?

8 RepliesI usually sprint-cancel a bow shot if needed. Just sprint for a split second and let go of the shoot trigger or key, and you won’t fire
-
1 ReplySo that's why I can't cancel my shots anymore.

I think they are doing something... in the meantime, learn to swap cancel... that's what I do, swap cancel, then swap back...
