Kinetic Primary Weapons: How often do you use them?
A Kinetic Primary vs an Energy/Darkness Primary in [b]PvE[/b] content... how often do you still use a Primary weapon that does [b]KINETIC[/b] damage.
Or do you prefer to use weapons that benefit your subclass or from it.
[i]Not talking about special weapons, just Primary weapons. And yes Stasis and Strand weapons are NOT kinetic weapons despite being in that slot, they don't get the bonus damage anymore they are basically energy weapons...[/i]

3 RepliesI have a decent amount that live in my top rotation for PvE. Hung Jury, Submission, Smite of Merain, Fatebringer, Empirical Evidence, and Fel Taradiddle all tend to make its way there. The problem is that recently, most of the top tier primary weapons haven’t been kinetic. I think Buzzard will likely replace Empirical Evidence. Kinetic Tremors is such a fun perk in PvE. PvP, I just use whatever I want. I have a few favorites but nothing really specific.

Or do you want good synergy I dont get how this is a argument i guess people are watching that one guys video who makes DPS build videos and didn’t understand what headstone, hatchling or Stasis Crystal/Tangle builds are

5 RepliesI use them all the time. For the last year or so, I've been in love with Outbreak Perfected. It's just an all-around great gun to use for most pve content, and with the upcoming pulse rifle buff it will be even better. Other kinetic primaries, however, just don't feel as good to me. Maybe I've been spoiled using an exotic all this time.

Edited by Amazinite: 4/2/2023 8:30:32 AMStasis weapons without headstone or chill clip are just worse version of kinetics, because Stasis weapons don’t have any inherent synergies with Stasis subclasses like the other subclasses have with their elements. Outside of the artifact perks, Strand literally only has Hatchling and I’m honestly not a big fan of it. So given that, I still primarily use kinetic weapons in my first slot, the main exceptions being Stasis fusion rifles and my headstone Eyasluna.

Does it count if it has osmosis? I use the pizzicato-22 SMG a lot on my void hunter.

Rat King, Revision Zero, Wishender, just to name the three I always have on my main (Hunter). Huckleberry is a lot of fun too for lower-end content.

Never. With light 3.0 using Kinetic is just bad in most cases. Only sub class it seems worth using on is strand and that’s just because it’s weapon synergies just kind of suck and the entire thing is about suspension.

I literally haven’t used a kinetic/primary weapon this in season for pve (other than wishender cheese for exotic mission boss). I’ve been using riptide+hollowed denial or riptide+fighting lion.

My most frequently used weapons in the kinetic slot this season are: Wastelander Riptide Arbalest Osteo Ignition code Tears of Contrition That new stasis bow But some of my favorites I need to revisit: Timelost Fatebringer (w/ osmosis and junkie) Agers Scepter Thoughtless Bite of the Fox Heritage But

I still us osteo striga a TON. It’s an incredible kinetic primary, though I wish they would have changed it to a strand weapon instead.

Primary kinetics most used = scouts - Tears of Contrition / Hung Jury (Adept) / etc. Also, generally, any other weapon that frees-up the Secondary slot, as required, e.g., sidearms / etc. 🫡

Other than Wish-Ender, I basically have my energy weapons as focus for my builds. Often I thrown on a kinetic with a champ mod that my build is missing.

Osteo striga is kinetic, thorn, monte carlo, bad juju. All of these weapons provide really good and powerful builds in pve.

2 RepliesI'd you use any primary kinetic weapons that are not some of the useful exotics you are just simply doing it wrong. There is zero benefit to using them over a elemental primary that works with subclass benefits

Does Osteo count? Because that’s never too far away. Otherwise, Hung Jury gets quite regular outings, particularly where there’s Unstoppables about.
