The difficulty scaling is hard enough, especially for three guardians. The revive token mechanic reduces the fun of playing Destiny IMO. The difficulty scaling already discourages playing with friends, so why make it more punishing to play together with a limited revive token mechanic.
I’m sure many of you will say I need to get good, and just deal with it like the rest of us, but playing the legendary campaign would be more fun with friends, especially if the revive token mechanic is removed.
Edit: I removed the comment about the Witch Queen campaign. I don’t remember the revive token mechanic being a part of the legendary campaign, but it may have been there. Maybe it was that the difficulty scaling was less, or something else, but I do remember completing the legendary campaign with a full fire team, and it was a lot of fun, in addition to the increased difficulty.
I did play some of the early missions of the Witch Queen campaign after Lightfall dropped, and they seemed difficult just for the sake of increased difficulty, and not very fun with a full fireteam.

4 RepliesThe tokens are not the issue, it's the seconds you have to revive

Just remember back to when if an team wiped in an nightfall they all got booted back to orbit in the first game .
-
it’s crazy because campaign legend is harder than post campaign master
-
I am more ok with tokens than the stupid timer. It removes the ability to clutch up and be that hero. Makes for frustrating wipes with the timer.
-
I'm not as bothered by the tokens as light fading. Let people try to finish with a man down.
-
1 ReplyTokens I'm ok with, what I don't like is how the 'fading light' timer is a set amount per encounter. You get a couple of minutes in a raid, you get like 30 seconds on legend so if one person goes down in a bad spot and can't be resed immediately you're basically screwed if someone else does, tokens or not.
-
Not sure where rez tokens would fit in lore wise. They don't really make any sense to me. I think they should only be in master+ content but this is Bungos idea of making content harder. I doubt they'll remove them now.
-
I don't think the token thing should be in anything not even raids. It just adds frustration to something that is hard anyway without them. It's honestly stupid. Or give 5 of them or something at least.
-
If you struggle with the difficulty, and don’t want a challenge. Play the campaign on regular.

I did the entirety of the legend campaign with a fireteam and we didn't wipe once. You are at a -15 power differential so make sure you have decent resilience and a good build for things like ad clear and boss burn. When I ran through the campaign with a group on my hunter we had no warlocks. So not having well did make it harder but as long you play your life, clear ads effectively, and team shot it is pretty smooth sailing. They should increase the time though I can't remember what the timer is but I know it can be short. The noraml 2 mintues and 30 seconds though would be fine if it's not that already.

4 RepliesEdited by Asylum: 3/20/2023 3:05:46 PMShould work like LS do, should be able to gain more up to like say 7 revives and the timer needs to be longer. But its not a bad mechanic for legendary activities its just poorly implemented. Idk why some raids get almost 3min timers but close quarter areas over filled with enemies get like 30sec max if youre lucky.

3 RepliesFalse. WQ legendary campaign introduced the revive tokens.
-
1 ReplyLimit revive token was always a thing in tbe WQ legendary campaign.
-
This It's like Bungie implemented it specifically to make it hard to carry lesser skilled players through it
-
It's been a while since I've done legendary Witch Queen (last season or the one before), but I seem to recall it having limited revives then as well.

agreed, there should be zero revive tokens unless the player is in a gm, or any master raid or dungeon. outside those activities, it makes zero sense.
