Strand Meditations stop dropping on my main character once I pick up enough to buy the last Fragment
Bungie, if this behavior is by design, then that is pretty unfortunate.
I have one of each character type.
On my Hunter, I purchased all Grenades, both Aspects, and all but one Fragment. One fragment costs 200 Strand Meditations
My thought was, if I don't buy every last Fragment, I can run a full Strand build on my Hunter and stock back up to 1500 Strand Meditations to spend on my other classes. Then I'd buy the Aspects, Grenades, and Fragments on my Titan and Warlock.
I've tested this out. While running Strand on my Hunter, and I'm between 0 and 200 Strand Meditations, the following activities and actions reliably drop Strand Meditations:
• High Value Target chests (~7 - 10 SM)
• Patrols on Neomuna (~7 SM)
• Heroic Patrols on Neomuna (25 SM)
• Public Events on Neomuna (25 SM)
• Heroic Public Events on Neomuna (30 SM)
• Defeating enemies with Strand abilities & Super in the Vex Incursion Zone on Neomuna (single-digit drops of green motes, from 1 to 8 SM)
• Opening the Terminal Overload Bonus chest with a Terminal Overload Key (100 SM)
As soon as I get more than 200 Strand Meditations, they stop dropping. Nothing from Strand ability and Super kills. nothing from the aforementioned Neomuna Activities. To test, I've opened a few Terminal Overload Bonus chests and received ZERO Strand Meditations. Repeatedly. From something that [i]reliably[/i] drops 100 Strand Meditations when I'm below 200.

I think it's by design. My 'lock doesn't get them and he's the only one who has all of them. They probably thought they were doing us a favor, but it's unfortunate that I can't collect strands on my main anymore.

I had 842 before the update and I have not received any drops since. I will have to test and see if once I get below 200 they start dropping again. Thanks for the info. UPDATE: Since dropping below 200 all sources of the Meditations are now dropping again. I'm back up over 400 and they are still dropping. UPDATE: They stopped dropping again.
