To bluntly put it, my account was banned with this ban wave.
Does that mean I participated in recoveries?
No.
I don't know why I was banned. I was sitting in orbit watching YouTube and preparing my gear for the Day 1 raid that me and why team were going to do. Weasel'd to Orbit and banned. It wouldn't surprise me if I was false reported in Gambit earlier in the day as I had some good moments.
I haven't participated in recoveries BUT I would like to add on the last information to this situation. My friend and I have read Bungie's help about recoveries before any of this, because we wanted to know if having someone jump on my account to test a weapon is classified as a recovery. In Bungie's help it says doing this isn't bannable BUT its not recommended, so this was a one time thing AND this is no different from a content creator using a viewers account for the same purpose. This was also months ago, during S18 or start of S19.
I don't want my 1.7k hours to be all for naught. I've had no reason for a recovery and don't know why I was effected by this unless friends getting on my account counts as a recovery. I'm still waiting for my support ticket and with Day 1 Raid, it may take awhile to hear back from support. I just want to to get this out there to as many voices as possible.
I really don't want this to be the end of Destiny 2 for me. If this ban is legit and permanent I would also like to know the reason why at least.
