For the past 3 or 4 weeks, I have had similar issues. I have been playing on this PC for 2 years with a wired connection with no previous issues. I have no issues with connecting to other online games. I followed all the steps Bungie suggests, including checking with ISP, reloading game, powering down networking equipment and back up, clearing cache, plus suggestions folks on this forum and reddit provided. But nothing resolves it. I get various error codes after the "Attention connecting to Destiny 2 servers" message, and when I get removed from the game world I have a variety of error codes--bat, bee, honeydew, weasel, fig, elderberry, chicken, beet, cabbage, coconut, currant, etc. Until today I was able to get thru a single Gambit or crucible match before being removed from game. But today I was removed twice in a row while in crucible and now am restricted. I didn't even try a strike or battleground, as they last more than 5 minutes. Very frustrating and disappointing. Bungie's help seems to say it's the player's network. I wonder what they changed recently that led to even more players with this same issue.
