Can't login after a huge update on PS5
-----Japanese statement comes after English.
I've found the huge (~92.7 GB) update file started to download on around 13:30 26/Feb JST (20:30 25/Feb PST).
After download is completed and file is installed, I can't login to Destiny2 with error code "cat".
According to the "[BNG] Lightfall Maintenance Timeline: Feb. 27-28", https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/262432760?sort=0&page=0, I have still more than one day to play D2.
I've found many tweets describing the same issue on Twitter. This seems to affect PS5 JP users, at least.
Is it intentional or error? Can you please give me description?
Today is last Sunday in Japan before Lightfall. Bungie should know what this means.
日本時間2月26日13時半ころ(アメリカ太平洋標準時2月25日20時半ころ）から92.7 GB程度のアップデートファイルのDLが始まりました。
このファイルのDLが終わり、ファイルがインストールされたあと、エラーコード cat でDestiny2にログインできません。

Twitterでは同じ問題に言及したツイートを多くみかけます。少なくとも、日本のPS5ユーザーが影響を受けているようです。
これは意図通りですか？それともエラーですか？説明をお願いします。
今日は光の終焉の前の最後の日曜日です。Bungieはこれが何を意味するか知っているはずです。

Uninstall the game 2. Go to “Game Library” 3. Select “Your Collection” 4. Select the Destiny 2 icon 5. Select the PS5 version 6. On the D2 store page, select "Download” to reinstall D2

what a pain in the -blam!- this is. i'm set to auto update so the update started on its own, and after hours of downloading i have to delete and have even more hours of downloading to re-install the original. thanks!

I would say will be bricked till Lightfall which in Australia is Wednesday. I hope there is some sort of compensation for loss of paid season to players.

Can confirm it’s happening on the East Coast of the United States. Wasn’t happening at about 6:30 pm est but began happening past 12am est.

Workaround: Let's download PS4 version Destiny2.

Same here. Tried deleting the entire game and reinstalling everything, checking the game version, everything I could think of. Just keep getting the cat error when starting the game up.
