I’m a longtime Destiny player and feel this currently season finale mission is set too hard for completion. It reduces the hard earned light level to 1350, adds higher difficulty modifiers and has too many no-respawn points. My point is that I worked really hard to get a high light level only to be flung backwards to kinder-guardian power. As a solo player this is really frustrating and completely dilutes the chase for higher and higher powered gear. Why work for months to get to a strong, powerful light level only to be reduced to newbie status on a legendary mission?
Some people might welcome the challenge but as a paying customer I should be able complete it like a normal Nightfall or Strike. I won’t be buying the next season at this point. I’ll find another use for my money and time.

I’m 53. Play solo. Don’t do raids or dungeons. It wasn’t bad. I died twice.
-
6 Repliesmy 7yo was able to complete it... it wasn't very difficult. yes he died and had to restart twice - but you think it was too difficult? Maybe try not handicapping yourself by running high mobility and actually put on resilience mods...again even my son can read the description of what the stat does...

I beat it solo. 😕
-
I just completed it on a new account with blue armor and weapons The new light campaign was harder
-
6 RepliesMy issue with that mission was with the final boss and how it was able spam that massive aoe ground spike ability, died several times to that cause the ability literally covers half the map and is hard to avoid cause of the shear size of it.

Sus. That mission was not very hard and the only reward I got was a dumb ship. I took my time too, so I don't think the timer ever really runs out and angry crab arm lady never actually gets to use the warsats.

I’m a solo player primarily now as well and have been playing since D1 in Jan 2015. You probably already know this, but D2 is more about builds, and I didn’t start realizing that until I started paying more attention to ability and armor symmetry. Take a good look at your subclass, aspects and fragments, and make sure they are complimented by weapons and armor that are loaded up and upgraded with corresponding perks and mods. Masterwork your loadout. It also helps to create an armor build that is maxed out with the same element as your subclass. For example, if you main a warlock, you can build a great Stormcaller that synergizes well with Fallen Sunstar and Trinity Ghoul or Riskrunner. I used solar warlock, which maximized solar grenades. Constant regeneration and burn.

As a person who has lost both thumbs in an accident involving a combine harvester, I agree with you! People who have no thumbs must speak out against this. Op and I stand on equal ground. The game is too hard for us no thumbs.

I died a lot. It’s doable and it will take some time.

As a who cares how long anyone has played this game because it doesn’t make your point anymore valid than someone else destiny player…. I respectfully disagree and thought the mission was way too easy.
-
2 RepliesIt’s not difficult and if you’re a long time player you have no excuse for being incapable of playing through a simple mission. If you can’t complete it then YouTube a walkthrough and build for whatever class you’re using. It’s astonishing how bad some veteran players are these days.
-
5 RepliesAs a long time solo player, I am sorry I have to disagree. You need a strategy for the final boss. I find standing on the right side platform as you enter the room the ideal spot. It not hard, just a long battle at the end. And I have yet to solo a dungeon, just fyi.

If you're not good enough to clear it that's too bad, get some friends and have them help you.

I solo'd it on a Hunter using Eyes of Tomorrow of all guns lmao You say you're a longtime Destiny player but you may need to put more than 30 minutes a day into it.
-
It was easy wdym 😂 I'm glad Bungie is increasing difficulty across the board tbh, exposes the thumbless noobs
-
2 RepliesI didn't have that much trouble with it actually. I'm not that great of a player really which makes me wonder what was different between us. Can I ask what loadout you were using? Not trying to downplay your struggle or anything, I'm just curious.
-
1 ReplyIt’s not even hard Did you die once and quit
-
It was easy AF??? What are you talking about??? I was pissed that it was so easy and lazy. It's literally the last 2 minutes of the exotic mission. 🙄

Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - old
I dislike challenging content but managed to get through the mission OK on my Warlock, I have no incentive or interest in trying it on my other characters. Making the season finale difficult like this does seem like a strange choice. I expected the difficulty level to be set to ensure most could get through it without much difficulty. I’ve since read about the changes coming with Lightfall, and got a refund on my order for it. -
3 RepliesI am not very good. But it is feasible on solo. Just take your time and a good loadout. In the boss room stay on the balustrade and you will be fine. Good luck!

The only thing you need is a solid build. I went in with a second character with random things on and got wiped. I then put on a build and easily made it. It is not that hard.
