THIS time, I can't kill any other way for progress except for killing with the gun itself. I don't want to do PvP in the first place, this bug is super annoying. REPRO STEPS: - Get Cryosthesia - Get catalyst mission from Banshee - Lament that it requires PvP kills - Finish everything else easily in an afternoon, slog through PvP kills last - Be aggravated that you have to do the mission again because it reset for some reason - Get fed up and post a bug about it when you discover ONLY kills with the cryosthesia advance the mission. Not assists, not kills with other weapons, not kills with powers while you have the gun out, ONLY kills with the gun. ACTUAL RESULT: As above, ONLY kills with the cryosthesia advance the mission now. I can't kill any other way. I can go 19/8 in crucible if I'm not hamstrung so I'd be done in 2-3 runs otherwise. But stuck with only this piss poor handgun versus sweaty Ikelos SMG users or super spammers in mayhem, I don't stand a chance. EXPECTED RESULT: First, I'd expect the catalyst to work like others such as Symmetry and Manticore, just kills, no PvP. Second, I'd expect the catalyst quest to NOT require ONLY final blows to advance the quest. LINKS: N/A NOTES: Mandatory PvP is the worst. I'm not here to deal with sweaty tryhards while I'm casually plinking away with a PvE gun because the mission says so. If it's going to do that, where's my cryo's only crucible match? No powers, no other weapons, just cryo tag.
