Unable to select character "Destiny 2 servers are not available. Dismiss this message to try again"
When launching the game on PS5, I get to the title screen and hit X to continue. In the bottom right, as vanguard symbols cycle, it states it is "Connecting" longer than normal, eventually changes to "Signing In" then shortly after I am presented the error:
[b]"Attention - Destiny 2 servers are not available. Dismiss this message to try again. For more information, visit help.bungie.net"[/b]
I am never presented the character selection screen. I played on 01/31 after reset with no issues, the errors began the evening of 02/01, while two other clan members were online with no issues. This issue has extended into this morning 02/02, right before making this post.
I have tried the following methods:
- Resetting router
- Power cycle the console
- Moved game from internal to external hard drive and back
- Attempted to join PS5 friends in a social place
Please advise.

Having the exact same issue all day with my main character. Can play my other characters no problem strangely enough. I’ve tried everything even uninstalling the game and reinstalling. Still nothing.

4 RepliesHi there! Please try clearing your console cache. 1. Power down the console 2. Once the console is completely powered down, unplug the power cord from the back of the console 3. Let the console sit unplugged for at least 5 minutes 4. Plug the power cord back into the console and power it on 5. Re-launch the Destiny game
