It takes too long for a Warlock rift to be cast. I started to cast void soul before anyone was in the room and before I could start shooting again, a guardian came in the room and crossed it to shoot me with a shotgun. Ridiculous that it takes that long for the rift mechanic to complete to let me shoot again!

4 RepliesIt is not a "get out of the prison" card that you can cast whenever you're in a pinch. First you position yourself strategically, then you cast it.

Edited by knomey: 1/6/2023 4:08:26 PMIt’s funny how now people are realizing how bad warlocks have it compared to the rest of the game it’s just not their rift its also supers and abilities being weak for no reason They need to let rift follow the caster and leave it the way it is for healing but only let people walk while using empowering rift
-
Warlock rifts need to be buffed all the way around. Compared to a Titan barricade a healing rift is garbage
-
Actually you’re supposed to place it before an engagement and it should not be a free get out of jail care- said every barricade spamming titan and hunter🤓
-
Or just make it so i can at least cancel it instead of getting locked in animation.
-
7 RepliesAnd dont get me started on well, all that silly animation while titans open their arms to start a bubble, man i feel sorry for all warlocks in this game, bungie Hates you.
-
3 RepliesFor the amount of time it takes to cast a rift or barricade, they should add that same amount of time to the dodge animation too. Hunters would be getting shot out if dodge right and left. Maybe then they’d have to actually develop skill.
-
2 RepliesAnd when ever you do cast it someone just pushes with a shotgun
-
2 RepliesThe rift is a relic from a muuuuch slower version of Destiny 2 and for whatever reason still hasn’t been updated in any meaningful way

10 RepliesRift should be an aura, not a stationary spot on the ground. It's the only class ability that forces you to stand still in a game where standing still almost always equals death.
-
2 RepliesCompletely disagree.
-
Rift needs a buff in general for pvp it's God awful
-
2 RepliesEdited by sjshady0169: 1/5/2023 12:30:52 AMAt least give Warlocks an exotic or some mechanic to speed up this animation.
-
2 RepliesEdited by SteakBarbare92: 1/5/2023 12:17:59 PM100% agreed. Same could be said about titan barricade. Animation need to be speed up by at least 30%(Barricade) 50%(Rift) of what it is right now.
-
Warlocks need a class ability rework… Rifts can just begone.
-
2 RepliesWarlock rifts are fine, you can just use them better.
-
23 RepliesReplace rift with "Alchemic Sol" Think of it as a personal lil buddy that acts as your rift. Animation can be a finger snap that pops out a lil orb that will hover either next to or above your characters head. The activations animation should be on par with the same animation timer as a Hunter dodge or Barricade pop. Can be used while mobile but must be grounded. There will be two types as they are now. Healing Sol - summon an orb of restorative light that heals you over time. Empowered Sol - summon an orb of light that empowers you, increasing the damage of your weapons and abilities. I absolutely detest Bungie's constant gimmick of having Warlock being a "literally just stand still in this piss puddle" type of player. Camping in rifts are boring as heck. Camping in Well is boring as heck. Let. Me. MOVE Also, buff Daybreak... Good God it's terrible.
-
I still have to question why empowering rift even exists. Acrobat dodge gives the same damage buff in PvP, applied it to allies, and can be used while roaming around the map. Empowering rift is a stationary puddle with the same damage buff as radiant.
-
1 ReplyOr if you cast rift when stood on a pebble and it makes you do the whole animation for no rift. That’s my favourite. I also remember doing a NF, casting rift behind cover and with the temp 3rd person view seen an acolyte throw a grenade over at me and there was nothing I could do other than wait for the grenade to hit me and die lol.
-
i would have to disagree with that, if anything titan barricades need to be adjusted they are too strong, class abilities as a whole need to be dialed back. they are too quick to recharge and should have the same fix that grenades got, depending on which one you choose ie healing or empowering rifts etc then they should have different recharge times.

Skill issue
-
Been saying this for a few months now and glad to see other people say it too, its an outdated mechanic from a much slower PvP meta

Edited by TACO_Adept: 1/4/2023 11:52:40 PMGot to agree here. That rift drops in slow motion sometimes!
-
12 RepliesOkay if rift gets a faster cast lets allow barricade to cast faster and dodge goes slightly further. Then lets see what people get upset about.
-
2 RepliesSure a LITTLE faster. But to be fair you don't use it DURING engagement. Use it prior.
