I just don't think this is necessary. I would like to see bungie change that. It is annoying and unnecessary

4 RepliesRight 40 seconds this game is HORRIBLE they need to remove death entirely we shouldn't even be able to die. We shouldn't have to wait for supers they need to just make them regenerate instantly or after a kill. Heavy ammo needs to be infinite. We should not be challenged at all. We need participation medals I have a job do you think I really have time to care or even try? TOUCH SOME GRASS

It gives you time to dismantle all of your blues
-
Stop dying then.
-
It’s a penalty to force player to be less reckless?
-
To give you time to respond.
-
I like it. it makes them harder on your teammates and punishes you for dying. Only time I don’t like it is during jump puzzles or the areas that transition between encounters. Otherwise I personally don’t have an issue with it.
-
To keep you in the game longer lol. Imagine playing getting stuff done then log off. Nope, this is there way to throttle lol, sounds silly but hey by now, anything is possible with bungie, and by anything, I mean crap that we don't like or think k makes no sense.

1 ReplyWhy do we need to pay to play dungeons🖕😭
-
Non-combat areas should have the 5 second timer and combat areas it doesn't matter cause if you've got a team mate they can res you.
-
40 RepliesTo punish you for failing something as easy as a jumping sequence
-
2 RepliesQuick tip......don't die.

1 ReplyEdited by Taejzon23: 12/18/2022 7:05:15 PMMeh.... Gives me a little time for some "pickle tickle" action with the ol' ball and chain, and a soda! And I still have 13 seconds left! Lol....... Edit: ok....I'm exaggerating a little.....I only have 10 seconds left after all that........

5 RepliesGives you time to look at Evervetse inventory, working as bungie intended

3 RepliesIt's especially stupid at jumping parts that aren't even encounters. Like okay, my teammate can't revive me cause he went down the tunnel and theres no way back up to get me. It's bad enough to have to do jumping puzzles without a respawn timer of 40 seconds. Now cause I am bad at jumping but because the 40th run I am tired of jumping -blam!- and running forever to get to an encounter just to make the dungeon seem longer.
I just don't think this is necessary. I would like to see bungie change that. It is annoying and unnecessary
Come On… You know the real reason. It’s so you spend more time in there so their playtime numbers look good.
-
3 RepliesTo encourage teammates to revive you. Think about it, the longer you stay dead, the more you risk wiping if your other teammates die.
-
1 ReplyBungie would say "Git Gud... Stop dying"
-
True, less skilled players struggling through jumping sections waiting over and over while other players are long gone lmao, and they’ve already waited in 5 minutes of respawn timing lmfao
-
It's there to irritate us
-
40 second respawn timers and game automatically kicks you for 20 seconds on inactivity.
-
7 RepliesI can understand a respawn timer in actual encounters but in parkour sections the timer is extremely annoying to deal with.
-
In jumping puzzles, I agree. 40 seconds is really long in those parts. 40 seconds in the actual encounters is fine. Makes death actually consequential…
-
It’s to make you feel more anxiety when your team is close to a wipe. Or humiliation when you join LFG and everyone knows the jumping puzzle by heart and it’s your first run.
-
While I agree, use those 40 seconds to realize… it’s respawn. This mistake blows my mind more than any other on the forums.

Bungie has this thing, called hate, hate for every player in this game. They use no common sense and have never played this trainsreck before. You cant make a game rhat works and his fun if youve nwver fuking seen it once.
-
I hate it. Bungie really thinks 1 minute of my life is down the drain doing nothing for dying in their video game.
