Hi all... I have been waiting for Elemental Charge to finally show up.. and the one day it did, I wasn't available. So after waiting MONTHS for this mod which is also key to most builds and missing it, you can imagine....
Bungie really needs to find a better way to let players get mods. Forget exotics, or god rolls.. some mods are more rare, and since Ada keeps selling the same useless mods and sometimes twice in a week. It makes this part of the game the most annoying and it's a good reason to quit for a while. A few friends who are new players have also stopped playing as they feel this mod system is not new player friendly.
Anyways cya

No one cares that you’re quitting D2. Keep it to yourself please.

1 ReplyI saw a tik tok that Ada was selling font of might and I missed it by one day how the -blam!- am I supposed to know when she’s selling the -blam!- I need this system is dog
-
Honestly I feel for newer players and the lack of access to mods. It’s something that’s a legit complaint and something they need to address. I wouldn’t quit over it but your frustration is understandable.
-
Yep. Mod system proper sucks. I’m sure bungie will sort it by next season……
-
Must’ve not been that important. If it was you’d have made sure you could’ve grabbed it or have someone else do it for you.
-
Doesn't matter if he quit or not, or whatever? The point he's making is the system isn't usable, and itd mean more to u if u didn't have the mod u needed I watch build videos and usually the 1 mod u need to put it all together, I'm missing (still waiting for 1 particulate mod) Which I then give up making that build. Doesn't do the game any favours, as I'll get disheartened and go do something else. If bungie wants us to play more, be a little more helpful with mods and a few other things!

One very important lesson I’ve learned in playing Destiny since it came out,is to NEVER depend/rely on ANYTHING in Destiny, especially if it is fun. They ALWAYS either nerf it or take it away.THEY ARE TOTAL A—-HOLES THAT WAY.
-
Wow! I have taken it for granted , played from start and on regularly. This sucks for new players ….just read a guy took his Xbox on holiday so he could get a specific mod ….that’s just messed up 🤷🏼♂️
-
I’ve had that mod since it came out and only used it for the first time last week. Used it once or twice then took it off. You can get by quite easily without it. Saying that though the system for acquiring past mods sucks big time. I didn’t see the point of getting the Radiant Light mod because I didn’t melee much at the time so I didn’t bother to get it. My mistake because it took me 1-2 years to get waiting for it to come back in rotation on a day I could get it. The least they could do would be to make it so you could acquire mods via the app like we can with bounties. Or even better would be to look at the whole system and change it to be more player friendly. I’m sick of this FOMO bull!
-
It’s actually baffling to see kids defending this terrible system in the comments. God forbid we add a way for new/returning players to farm for mods so they can actually build craft like the rest of us. Instead of just waiting to check a single vendor’s inventory for the correct mod every 24 hours.
-
1 ReplyA -blam!- mod vendor. That’s all they need to do. But nooooooo you gotta log in EVERY DAY to see what Ada and Banshee have next! I have them all. But for new players there’s no excuse for this.
-
Would make it so much easier if they just made Ada only sell combat style mods. So tired of going down there to see that she’s selling Unflinching Auto Rifle and Sidearm Loader or something like that

This game much, MUCH better when it first came out, proper story driven campaigns, like The Red War, made me love the game, even got me to buy Destiny on my PS5, but now, Destiny is better than Destiny 2....the story in D1, despite being so poorly told, is vastly better than D2. D2 has become lazily written stories told between repeating the same boring game modes. The next DLC is their last chance for me.....if its just the same boring lazily written story, it will be my last DLC.

Destiny is Garbage anyways. They want too much dedication to this game that I just don’t have time for. I’m a Casual Gamer and Casual Gamers have no place in Destiny. I play other Games like Warframe, that is more toward the Casual Gamer and it’s partly to do with having no FOMO in the Game cause everything stays in the game for you to grind for and doesn’t expire after a certain time. And their Battle Pass via the Night Wave (that does expire but it’s Free to progress through) so as I said, Warframe is leaning toward the hardcore grinder and the casual grinder. Another thing great about Warframe is it doesn’t feel like it exploits the addictive center of the brain cause as a former Destiny Player, I can tell you I was addicted to Destiny and couldn’t put it didn’t Warframe doesn’t feel that way, I can pick it up, I can put it down whenever I want and don’t feel like I’m missing something if I log off which I guess cycles back to the fact that outside of the Night Wave (which is Free) there really is zero FOMO in the game. I tried playing Destiny recently and I honestly didn’t feel the way Destiny made me feel like it did back during D1. Ridicule me if you want and say I’m “looking through rose colored classes” but Destiny One was literally the best Destiny has ever been. Destiny was in a great place with Rise of Iron. And I after Bungie decided to rip away the content I paid for via the DCV and Subsetting is also why I don’t have a passion for Destiny anymore like I used to. I’ve always been that way with everything. When I do something even in real life that took me a while to build or do, and someone comes by and destroys it, I immediately say “screw it, I’m not building this and doing that again”

2 RepliesI feel bad for new players. This game is anti new players and somehow most of the community loves that Destiny is very toxic in that sense, and that’s why sht bucket users love how terrible the RNG is. Imagine wanting to run solo exotic lost sectors 30 plus times for a bad stat gear… They LOVE that, working folks and those with a life won’t bother.
-
Well if you are not available ask a friends to pick it up for you? Also if you are so casual as not to be available at all or have a friends you can have pick up stuff for you, why do you need the mod? 🙃
-
3 RepliesOkay? Your fault. There's websites that send out reminders for mods you are missing via email.

Whilst I completely agree with you.. (I do was waiting for this mod) I was away for it also - However I brought my xbox with me and had it in the hotel with me - So i was able to get into the tower and get. The "streamers" solution is just a dumb and bungies solution - they want to just give players all the mods in the game.. and well I really hope bungie do not listen to them - because that is even more stupid then the current solution. The 1st thing that needs to happen in move the Mods into the similar item tier list we have. Mods that are: 1. Green - Everyone gets when they start the game. 2. Blue - Everyone gets when they finish the campaign. 3. Purple - Drops from any play list activity at random - but can be focused on certain night falls each week on master (for example Elemental charge, Elemental ordaments etc Drop from S.A.B.E.R Master) 4. Yellow - Drops from GMs and trials (light house) Green should be your + 10 stat mods Blue should be your weapon mods basic Purple should be your season mods - wells/charged light/war mind etc Yellow - Adapt mods just like they are. In addition to Ada selling them how she is.

Really? That's your reason?

3 RepliesYour quitting but u did not delete your char see u next season and next dlc

1 ReplyI stopped playing the game back in vanilla D2. I came back about half way through the season of the Haunted and had zero mods. I've got most if not all right now and I agree it's a pretty stupid system. I had to log in every day just to check Ada's inventory. So many builds I saw online that looked to epic and fun that I couldn't do because I didn't have the mods. So I just subbed out the mod I was missing for the closest possible thing and did just fine. Not trying to make light of your frustration because I agree mostly with what you say but I don't agree the missing one mod is game breaking at all...frustrating yes, stupid yes but not enough for me to quit playing.
-
1 ReplyThis is why I have a hard time respecting Bungie as a developer. The game has it's highs, and they're pretty good, but then you have a system of obtaining mods that is so blatantly pathetic. New Player: Watches influencer that Bungie depends on for referrals, influencer shows off completely stupid OP build, new player looks into obtaining mods for the build, realizes they're pretty much doomed to RNG for who knows how long. I mean is this the BEST Bungie can do to keep players logging in every day?

1 ReplyPeople are still running CWL? If its for HEF Gyrfalcons smooth brain everything on Hunter Highly doubt people are running any endgame without a Warlock WoR, and iirc HEF doesnt stack with it Titans... yeah we just lob storm grenades now

1 Replydestiny is terrible like this, someone needs to tell bungie that rng isn't gameplay

4 RepliesBack in destiny 1, I missed when xur had Icebreaker. The day I found out he had it again…. I left work and went home early to get it and then went back to work. I lived about 40 mins from work at that time
