I know it’s not going to be a major difference but I feel they are not worth the grind.
Any thoughts on this?

depends ,most of them barely do anything Those that increase stats are good And some that increase the timer can make a difference if you know how to really build Issue is that while weapon crafting was for the more casuals the enhanced trait are mostly better for the more hard core that can play and know how to utilize those small but to make a bigger difference

Edited by Shiny Gengar: 11/21/2022 11:09:51 PMNope just a waste a time like 90 % of this hamster wheel

The point of crafted weapons was to remove the months of grinding for a god roll the enhanced were just meant to be added reason since back then the drop rates were extremely terrible like you'd get one a day it felt like except for the guaranteed ones. Enhanced perks are pretty weak on purpose since they still want there to be a reason for random god rolls to be useful because they still want rng to be a thing.
-
Honestly I think getting a base god roll without the rng is enough, let alone enhanced perks. Make them too good and it’s power creep.

4 RepliesI think weapon crafting is killing this franchise.

execption is hung Jury adept, i have mine ages ago, and its my main gun to this day such a top tier weapon.
-
I don't particularly care for adept raid weapons especially since we can't craft them. An example is my crafted submission & forbearance. both have much better stats & perks compared to any adept weapons that dropped in votd.

4 RepliesEdited by RADneck: 11/20/2022 1:04:03 AMThey feel good on some weapons. Less on others. My thoughts on enhanced perks is that they're a luxury. They contribute a little bit to the weapon and feel good to see on a gun. Ascendant Alloys are not hard to obtain, and neither is resonant alloy or any crafting stuff besides mementos. All things considered, they're good to put on a weapon but don't make a game-breaking difference in the end.

Enhanced weapons are better than adept weapons, chill

Edited by Olórin: 11/21/2022 1:59:45 AMI feel like they're alternatives to Adepts, both can have great perk rolls, only difference is the method of grinding. Both have great traits, some enhance perks are a great addition to the craftable weapons, likewise for some Adept Mods that can be a great specific stat boost to their respective weapons.

Edited by ryebar: 11/20/2022 4:42:49 PMA fully crafted Smite of Merain with enhanced Demolitionist and Firefly has better stats then the adept/time lost version. Crafting is worth it. Running KF Master raid content for adept/time lost weapons is not.
-
I think they’re too good - they make adepts less worthwhile. I’d enhanced perks and thus the increased grind and just have crafted weapons as guns you can get 5/5 god rolls on - that alone is worthwhile for people who don’t have the time to grind to do GM’s and then grind for the weapon rolls they want. My view is crafted weapons should not be the strongest weapons but the gateway to grind for the best weapons. One step below but your pathway to the endgame loot.
-
I agree the grind is way to much but if they were too good it would break the game. As it stands they about equivalent to a adept god roll which is about right I think.
-
From a purely objective point of view - they are not. But if you play for fun you will get them anyway, sooo....
-
I think a more worthwhile investment for sinking 2000 Neutral Element a 1 Asc. Alloy would've been forging on a perk 1 and/or perk 2 slot.
-
I think the idea is that you are only supposed to do it to the weapons you really love using and want any extra power on no matter how tiny. It's like the difference between a normal weapon and an adept weapon The difference is small enough that it is nearly meaningless but still allows a reward for doing the most extreme content. I think when master raid weapons come out the combination of adept mod + enhanced perks + extra stats will feel like a more meaningful power jump over normal weapons. This will probably will have us asking for all adept weapons to get enhanced perks baseline. The real question is, if you think they don't offer enough power. Do you really want there to be this tiny selection of weapons that only a small part of the player base can get that are noticeably better than everything else again?
-
Definitely agree for the grind, roughly 80% of enhanced perks don't feel worth it. I mean adding 0.5 seconds to duration isn't very noticeable. Same for +5 to a random stat, I mean a reload master work (+10) only shaves off 15 frames, so +5 to reload would only be 7 or 8 frames. I think duration perks should atleast be increased by a full second and stat perks should add +10 since that's the minimum noticeable stat value. I think enhanced auto holster only decrease the activation time by 0.2 seconds.

That’s okay, they shouldn’t exist at all really, brings unbalance and power creep into the game

2 RepliesEdited by The Hermit IX: 11/19/2022 3:37:21 PMlol not mine they feel perfect with a better return. I’ll take my crafted versions over a random roll any day of the week. They’re simply better and I’m glad they put crafting in the game.

Yeaaaaa.. depends on the weapon.. you can Def tell the difference on the Taiwan, the wastelander, and trails of contrition.. at least those are my main ones

Does anything have the Subsistence/Rampage combo?

6 RepliesEdited by Kiro - 13: 11/20/2022 12:47:54 AMCrafted weapons with the current iteration of the game make raid weapons obsolete, this is even parroted by Bungie hence the upcoming change to adept weapons with enhanced perks. Now as for enhanced perks not feeling potent, I kind of feel ya on a few of the choices. & this too was also parroted by Bungie in the past, however that opinion/statement from Bungie has since been back-burnered because they make raid weapons obsolete. Things like enhanced 4th time, enhanced snapshot, enhanced firing line all do almost next to nothing over their base version while some are even a direct downgrade/nerf such as enhanced incandescent. The truth is though you wont see enhanced perks touched any time soon because & I sound like a broken record for saying it, they make raid weapons obsolete.
-
Depends on the weapon I guess. Some are average / above average but you gain complete control over the perks within the limits of available perks. Some are very good imho and I found my personal new favourite weapon among them. Bottom line, yes, enhanced are worth my time.
-
They’re not worth the grind and honestly that’s okay. The game already has plenty of power creep which is quite fun but should still be reigned in.
-
They aren't worth the grind, but if certain perks get nerfed or buffed in the future it will be easier to adjust.
