Yeah, Error ce-117740-0 comes from the update, ce-107981-6 comes from trying to download
-
I have, did not help, also the ps4 version updates and re-downloads just fine, has to be a bungie issue

Sony confirmed its a publisher issue, meaning they use the same error codes no matter the publisher, i.e., if a publisher releases an update that doesn't communicate properly with the systems code, the same error is shown. This is why multiple games from different pubs can show it. However, every other game i own is working fine and all self fixing steps have been taken by multiple individuals and it did not fix it. Ergo the problem rests in Bungies lap. I appreciate you trying to help others but making guesses and saying their facts just spreads false info. This can lead to people thinking their system is broke or bricked which in turn could cause them to make a bad decision.

Again, that is a Bungie moderator, they are not coders, they go off of standard responses and scripts of what they are supposed to say for certain issues. Then their protocol is to notify their bosses who notify the higher ups and then the coders get to work to see if something went wrong. It usually telephones through numerous people departments before the right people get notified. Cant say for sure if this is how bungies structure works but This is the typical route for almost all businesses. Also this is obviously a wide spread issue thats affecting the community and only after the update... again bungie needs to take a look

Doesn't matter, the automated response is the same, they are not the coders/builders. They are only trained/allowed to give standard responses as anything else could make them liable. I know your just trying to help people and i get it. Please read onidarks post above. He worded perfectly. This issue happened before on PS4, bungie mods and helpers said "sony issue" turns out bungie admitted later it "was" their fault and took them over a month to fix

So bungie just tweeted that they are investigating now on a fix. See what i mean. https://twitter.com/BungieHelp/status/1590069246461349889?s=19

I dont mean automated as in not a person, i mean as in they only have a handful of responses they're allowed to give. And they are all pre written. This is because most times this is all thats needed to fix most issues. However when big issues appear, they do not know what to do so the default response is "sony/xbox/pc" issue. Like I said, the update started the issue and this has happened before and bungie admitted it was their fault. So the only logical answer is bungie is at fault again. Sometimes it comes down to something stupid like a specific model of console/graphics card that the update got incorrectly or got values wrong
