Bungie just do it in trials labs please I promise it’s not a bad idea.
For those saying it forces strict load outs, how? It’s simple really as a team ensure you have the ranges covered you need depending on which map it is.
What it would also do is show data on outliers IE arby no time and Lorentz.
I just feel like everyone is so scared of it. It’s end game pvp. Just like endgame pve loadouts are locked. You have to come ready. Trials shouldn’t be for everyone and that’s okay! Not everyone does GM’s so what’s the issue?
Casuals just want sh…it handed to them.

3 RepliesOP: Hey I have an idea that's great! Let's take what didn't work when you did it before and do it again!
-
9 RepliesHad it in year one and people hated it
-
7 RepliesIt is a terrible idea. Too many playstyles that are uncounterable without switching your own. Lets just say youre on javelin, your team is running close range loadouts, but you match people using invis, ophidians and so on. Therefore your counter is playing range and if you adapt by switching to pulses and snipers and win, but if you are stuck using close range guns against people who are better suited for it you are guaranteed to lose. Same applies in reverse. Adaptability to playstyles is a key part of trials and if you cant do that the mode just sucks. Being able to swap loadouts causes zero issues
-
1 ReplyHow is that not a bad idea Because U see what the enemy is using and then they switch?
-
1 ReplyBeen tried and was horrible. They got way more important things to fix with PvP than locking loadouts
-
so if you want to switch to counter your enemy you cant, hell no
-
Bungie just do it in trials labs please I promise it’s not a bad idea.
It would fix swap exotic armor and witching to a primary after running out of sniper ammo.
-
It is a Bad idea, literally Force's a 90-10 Win Ratio. It becomes Loadout Gambling, and forcing Strict Loadouts. No.
-
Gross
-
What a terrible idea
-
They already tried it before and got such backlash i think they got rid of it really fast

3 RepliesEdited by DiZ: 10/4/2022 10:24:50 PMLock Exotic armor piece so that you can't just instant swap to something that makes your Super better (i.e. Raiju's, Eternal Warrior, etc.), then swap back. That's about the most I think can be reasonably asked for. Although I do find it annoying that people can run out of ammo in their Sniper/Linear and just swap to an extra primary for free, instead of having to commit to the strengths and weaknesses of that initial primary they had paired. But that rarely ever comes up, so it's largely a non-issue. Edit: Also get rid of the long intro screens. They serve no purpose other than to be flashy at best, and waste time at worst if there are no locked loadouts.

1 ReplyIt’s a bad idea. Adaptability is part of the examination.
-
19 RepliesLocked armour, yes, locked weapons, no.
-
It was like that in d1 they should bring back
-
8 RepliesGod no. That does not need to come back. It is bad enough end game PVE content has it and it is stupid. They need to make teams and groups face each other. Remove all of the freelance playlists. Change the core systems of PVP to where maps, modes and playlists are designed around what is considered casual or competitive. This game needs core changes not bandaid adjustments that have already put this game 8 steps behind versus 8 steps forward.
-
11 RepliesYes it is. It sucked in Trials of the Nine and it’ll suck now
-
3 Replies
We should punish people that are adaptable. I am very smart
-
3 RepliesTerrible idea. Although locking armor is a good idea so players can’t swap to a super enhancing exotic for 1 round.
-
1 ReplyThen I’m keeping main ingredient on with a pulse. At least I’ll be good at mid-long range, and close-mid range. With an added cheese note to it as well. Because you best believe people are going to be running cheesy builds if the change you refered to was implemented.
-
Zzzzzz…..
-
No. I remember when that was a thing. Awful idea.
-
Yeah been there done that it sucked
-
They’ve done it before it pretty bad that’s why they removed it

Edited by NotCreative123: 10/4/2022 4:57:04 PMIt's silly to die to a sniper when you thought they had a shotgun It's silly that you can change to an Exotic that makes your super OP It's silly that we go through the charade of viewing the other team's loadouts only for them to change Round 2
