Too often, I'm seeing a player go down, teammate(s) rush to revive...and sit there throughout while under fire. It's less a problem with a Titan barricade or a cloaked Hunter, but still, [you can move about during the revive]. It's a short leash, but at least you're not sitting in one spot and eating fire.

Optimally, rush up to them, hold the revive to start it, and either
1) circle around them, or
2) run a little past them (while faced perpendicular to anything shooting at them) and moonwalk-revive across them so that anything shooting at you will likely be shooting at where you were.

On controller, I just rotate my left stick in a circle, on keyboard I alternate between A nad D but hey, at least those guardians are TRYING to revive. I'd rather see them try than just run away and leave me sitting for 30 seconds.

1 ReplyThis guy asked me how I was shooting and reviving at the same time….I replied “….absolutely”

If you’ve played Monster Hunter on the PSP at all in your life, Reviving while moving and shooting is natural for you. Claw technique is OP
-
You can slide & revive, use that in Trials. Should work in pve.

1 Replybest thing to do imo is a strafe back and forth t bag spam. This makes it harder for your opponent to hit you, aswell as shames your teammate for pulling a big ol' dummy butt move and dieding... Nah but seriously though all too often ppl either just go for panic res and stare at the ground... or just position themselves terribly when they couldve tucked behind a corner... best thing to do is to remain aware of your surroundings and try to look where the radar shows enemies while sticking it...

1 ReplyIf your on mak you can run literal circles around them. It looks pretty funny lol

4 RepliesDo people really not know this??
-
And you can shoot, too.
-
You can also fire your weapons while reviving, which I very rarely actually see people do. If your on controller that can be a bit tricky depending on your keybindings though. You can work around that with custom controller setups, or by switching to a 'claw grip' while reviving like I prefer to do. The claw grip switch isn't the easiest thing to do but honestly not too bad once you get used to the transition.

2 RepliesYou can't revive while taking damage, and I don't think strafing is going to prevent that
-
This isn't known. I've been doing this since d1 alpha.
-
Also: fight back! You can shoot while reviving teammates. This is valuable in PvE and PvP. It’s a little hard to get used to, but even if your aim is only like 50-75% as good there’s still a chance you stagger the enemy enough, or kill them, or scare them away.

I always circle around my teammates when reviving them.
-
2 RepliesI do appreciate that you have titled it “TIP” and not “PRO TIP”.
-
3 RepliesYou even can shoot while reviving. BUT it's much easier on controller where you can press all f buttons at the same time. Hard to pull off on MK without a proper setting up.
-
You can also shoot
-
2 RepliesYou figured this out just now? I learned of this back in D1. Been doing this ever since then xD
-
1 ReplyPSA you can also move when shooting. Hope it helps.
-
i usually strafe side to side and maybe spam crouch when reviving. thought this was well-known but maybe i'm overestimating the skill in the community
-
1 ReplyI would have thought that was common sense... but there are alot of potatoes about unfortunately
