Edited by Smoot: 8/29/2022 10:16:16 AMPosting this here because of outreach towards Bungie and people in this thread who can't think logically. Currently, Warlocks across all four subclasses have only two exotics that affects any super outside of extra regeneration : Geomags, Dawn Chorus. Currently, Chaos Reach just barely comes close to Thundercrash Cuirass, i think it is the neighborhood of 40-50k below. This damage is WITH Geomags, making it a requirement if you want to run Chaos Reach. Currently, Dawnblade by itself cannot cause scorch. That effect only happens with Dawn Chorus, making it a requirement if you want to run Dawnblade. Chaos Reach takes around half of a damage cycle to fully deal its damage, and the damage figures are only obtainable if the boss doesn't move. By the time Chaos Reach ends, a Thundercrash Titan has already dumped most if not all of their heavy. Dawnblade's damage output is so laughably low that any use outside of PvP is literal trolling. Even then, Dawnlbade is currently bugged, sometimes it wont register a hit on a target (this bug happens in both PvP and PvE). Before the Solar 3.0 changes, Warlocks were asking for a Dawnblade buff or a super that could compete with Well that actually deals damage to targets, viable enough for GM's. During this same time (before the 3.0 revamp) Dawnblade saw two uses : PvP (top tree), one room in one GM (the boss fight arena of Hollowed Lair, Bottom tree). With the 3.0 revamp, top and bottom tree Dawnblade was rolled into one super, meaning that half of the functionality of each tree was either removed or rolled into fragments/aspects. Solar Warlocks did not receive a third super (despite Gunshot still broken down into two supers). Before the Arc 3.0 changes, Warlocks were asking for a buff to Chaos Reach for two reasons : 1. To match the damage profiles of other supers allowing Warlocks to compete and use something in PvE other than Well. 2. It didn't have enough synergy with the subclass to warrant the cast time and time spent away from dumping heavy for DPS. With the 3.0 revamp, Chaos Reach was left untouched, as was most of the subclass. Arc Soul by itself is an Aspect, and there is not an Aspect or Fragment that augments or affects any other damage profile for the subclass. This include Grenades, Melees, Supers. It is also important to note that Tickle Fingers Top and Bottom tree were both rolled into one super, and Warlocks did not receive a third super in it's place.

1 ReplySo....why are people saying no to what would be a purely pve buff? Seriously people, the buff can only benefit your team if the warlock doesn't want to run well/already have a well. If you're out in the open and getting hit by a chaos reach in pvp, your dead anyway. I don't think people are asking for a 500% damage buff. Just a reasonable buff for a super that you're married to once you cast it.

2 RepliesAs a Hunter main, I am very disappointed with Arc Warlock. Was really looking forward to playing mine this season.

19 RepliesWarlocks are support. Period. Don’t like it switch classes.
-
2 RepliesOr just play as a void lock?

17 RepliesIt is good already why are you whining...

1 ReplyEdited by coda-jj: 8/25/2022 3:20:35 AMThis makes no sense. Titan thundercrash is terrible without the chest piece just like the Chaosreach. The warlock is a lot better then titan. Warlocks are op. If warlocks get a buff then titans need one that’s even more of a buff. If it’s pve my busy loves geomags in pve so I’ll still upvote I guess

Please upvote. We are solo players as well and need a good Arc supers for our activities.
Use the legging exotic just like titan uses chest piece & hunter head exotic cry baby

3 RepliesCross' Super Dmg vid came out today and Chaos Reach does comparable numbers to Thundercrash... Man Warlocks are so delusional

26 RepliesThere’s a post on Reddit that shares if you use Geomag Chaos Reach on a Jolted boss it can hit about 500K damage without the seasonal artifact. Seems pretty good to me.
-
2 RepliesGeomag chaos reach should be the default chaos reach behavior. Then Geomag can turn it into a one-shot rail gun or something instead.
-
I used Arc for about 30 minutes and switched to Stasis. Arc feels very underwhelming as a Warlock and I don’t really want to use it very much. The only aspect I like is jolting, but it’s so specific.

1 ReplyEither buff the base damage, or add a bonus effect where using Chaos Reach while Amplified allows it to ramp up damage (up to 75% additional damage) over the duration of the Super.
-
6 RepliesHard upvote. Yeah things like Celestial Nighthawk, Curiass, and Geomags exist. But the thing about those supers is that they can be used in the span of like 2 or 3 seconds. Chaos Reach at base is about 4 seconds long. It's about 8/9 ish seconds with Geomags. The problem is it takes too long to actually get all that damage out there. So sometimes it doesn't feel worth it. I can only think of 3 options here. Give Chaos Reach a flat damage buff. Increase Chaos Reach damage while amplified. Or lastly change Geomags so that they double your supers damage instead of duration.
-
Both supers need damage buffs. You can hardly kill a yellow bar with stormtrance
-
Geomags got buffed because when they took away sprinting to top off they MASSIVELY increased how much super energy you get back. Test it on a single big health boss and thank me later.

I remember getting a rush to be like "alright here comes the beam of destruction!" now its like "ok lets hope my trace rifle super does enough dmg here"

2 RepliesEdited by HolyRoller1313: 8/25/2022 8:07:37 AMIf honestly prefer that Chaos Reach be one big ol’ rail cannon beam that finishes firing in a second or two vs how long it lasts now. It could have a much wider aoe while it over-penetrates and maybe have a larger blast on contact. Geomags could even be like cuirass and straight up increase the damage inside of a duration increase. That’s just me tho Edit for clarity plus errors lul

8 RepliesArc lock is pathetic, another classic move by bungie🤡
-
How bad is it right now?
-
Bump make no sense to have this super be this bad
-
4 RepliesInb4 Hunters and Titans downvote this to hell
-
4 RepliesI think There should've been a new super. It should've been what the Hunters new one is but instead of the staff, you charge up an big Lightning Ball and shoot down into where you want and it does similar to what the staff does.
-
I upvoted both your posts. Maybe Bungie will pay attention to the forums. I feel like they never respond to anyones posts
-
I just finished my ketchcrash on master, oh my god staccata was my crutch such a good scout i melted those annoying shanks, the super is awful on end content (1600), stormcaller need a buff as a whole.

Didn’t you make a post about this already lol
