Why do people think fusion rifles are ok?
Genuinely,as someone who plays a ton of pvp I don’t understand how anyone thinks they’re not the most busted weapon in destiny’s pvp,why is that?

1 ReplyThey have really limited range, a charge up, and have always been the victims of the best options clowning on anything else, since a solid 75% of fusions are complete garbage. The only issue there is right now is that 15 zoom base fusions are generally crap, and anything above that is so head and shoulders above the 15 zoom options, that it's pointless to [i]not[/i] use them. Combine that with any shotgun that doesn't shoot slugs being generally pretty situational to just bad (since LoW is getting removed from PvP next season) and you get the recipe for 16-17 zoom Fusion dominance. So the solution is to buff/rework shotguns, and have Fusions at a static zoom level, being centered around 15-18 meter OHKs on the lower 3 impacts, having High Impacts being able to hit a bit into the 20s. Also removing Rangefinder because it's unironically THAT good on Fusions now, let alone if static zoom ever hits play.

1 ReplyBecause you need to be practically stationary or extremely deadeye accurate to land a killing blow after charging an attack. This coupled with the fact everyone is flying around like Goku in the crucible makes it an ok high risk high reward choice.

2 RepliesIn my opinion, they just created a power creep, since all the nerfs to shotguns and fusions practically being untouched one does it better then the other But then again, shotguns were overused, but that’s cause people are very closed minded and want to use the best things that they have Think I would say vex mixed with rain of fire warlock boots would be a terrifying combo, since it’s a fusion that takes primary ammo and gains stability with kills and then turns into a sniper when activated Shotguns have chap and duality and every slug shotgun, they would be the most guaranteed kills in the game but think, they are smaller snipers, less range but always get a kill if you know what to do with them Pellets are the underdog, worse in the range, spread and damage I mean I was behind a guy and some how he survived

18 RepliesBecause if you die to a fusion, YOU let it happen. The other player has to literally charge a shot, and virtually every bolt from said shot has to connect. If they miss, they're dead. Have you considered not standing still, or running in straight lines..

1 ReplyI believe they’re a gun type that can easily get you a kill in most close to mid range encounters. That is why they’re widely used by a lot of players, of all skill levels as well. But not all fusions are good, some are quite below the bar when it comes to performance expectations. But the best ones now are somewhat easily accessible such as the trials fusions rifle, deliverance, Plug-1, and even main ingredient. A lot of players do find fusion rifles to be a nuisance and often complain if they’re on the barrel end of the fusion rifle. Trust me, because I’ve gotten a lot of hate mail from players who say “oh fusion crutch,” or “need fusion cause no skill.” When really in truly, this weapon type comes in handy, despite how broken some of them are. It’s not a matter of skill either, it’s a matter of how easy and how fast you want to get a kill. So there’s no shame in using them. But I agree that they’re kinda overpowered depending on which fusion you talk about.

Precision frames have been a problem since D2 released.

The problem is the range not the ease of use.
