I'll never use this crafting system again.
It's way way way too expensive.
Congrats on making yet another system the majority of players will barely use. Seems like a really good use of company resources....

1 ReplyConsidering crafting changes from "If I get the perfect roll..." to "When I get the perfect roll...", I think I'm okay with it. However, I'd like to be able to have two perks in each column. I'd like to have PvP and PvE variants.

When you actually complete red border weapons instead of letting them pile up in your vault, or dismantling them, it’s not expensive at all.

You have to grind either way, but atleast with crafting you are guaranteed the best rolls
-
It should be expensive! Crafting -blam!- god roll shouldn't be cheap in any regard imo.
-
1 ReplyI crafted ALL guns except the 2 dungeon ones And its very cheap. And i masterworked half of them.
-
1 ReplyExpensive? Just how much are you crafting? Ive crafted like 5 guns and I level them up into its enough to get he enhanced perks. Only then will I reshape them.
-
I’ve crafted all kinds of weapons this season. It’s not difficult to get any of the materials involved and I love my crafted weapons.
-
Too expensive? On non-raid weapons? What? Deepsight two gun for both fancy perk and a third for custom recoil/ammo. Trash weapons you found on the floor and trade with Rahool for fast glimmer for the masterwork. The 5/12 Vow weapon-exclusive material required to mess with crafted Vow weapons is indeed expensive, but everything else is quite cheap. For quick Deepsight, you can equip fun and usable weapons and keep "unpleasant" guns in your inventory. Whenever an activity such as Containment is about to end, swap the usable with the unusable to gain progress without suffering.

7 RepliesDon't upgrade crafted weapon until you are at level 20 with weapon
-
Tbh they made the crafting part so much better from before and the entire point was to make it so instead of months of grinding a god roll you could spend weeks grinding for a crafted god roll. The issue comes down to drop rates because unless you spend all your time in the location of the item you need it could take months if not more just to obtain one of the new red bordered weapons
-
Weapon crafting has been -blam!- since it first started man
-
3 RepliesIt’s not expensive it just takes forever to level up the weapon
-
Personally I got a god roll crafted austringer... I can confidently say I wasted my time grinding for it's materials and to level up the weapon. My adept Fatebringer is just better.
-
2 RepliesI think by expensive you mean “time consuming “
-
5 RepliesIf crafting is expensive for you then you are doing it wrong. Don’t craft everything, craft the best of the best weapons available IF you NEED them. There’s not much to crafting outside a few god rolled weapons unless you’re a completionist
-
2 RepliesDon't bother with Enhanced Traits that make perks last for "An improved duration." It only adds about a half second.
-
Edited by King: 7/11/2022 8:57:37 PMI crafted my Deliverance and I doubt another Fusion Rifle will ever replace it. However, I said the same thing about Null Composure. Lol. Personally, I like crafting because I will rarely upgrade one fully anyway so the grind is not completely atrocious.
-
5 RepliesOh no, 10 players crying about something they'll never use while millions of others will/do.
-
7 RepliesHave a downvote. You could have just kept a rng drop. I love crafting
-
I did the thing with the thing and then the other thing. It was not fun, it was not a good end user experience. Imagine spending all that time and effort to craft a god killer, and then Bungie nerfs exactly what you spent so much time and energy on. Good times.
-
Edited by Lull9: 7/11/2022 7:07:56 PMIf you don't really care enough to craft a PERFECT roll, then that's your issue and maybe crafting is not for you. The RNG in this game is terrible. A 5 out of 5 roll can be 1/500 odds, or worse, something you may never realistically EVER get without crafting. Also, the enhanced perks make the weapons better than a random roll ever can be.

Edited by ace010593: 7/11/2022 9:53:37 AMCrafting in general is relatively pointless as it is. You’re more likely to get a close enough to perfect version long before you can craft it Crafting should have been an easy win but Bungo missed the mark by a mile in true Bungle fashion.
-
Edited by Mark, Scholar of Stars: 7/11/2022 5:58:36 PMI expected more diversity. But that's the problem, because Destiny 2's like a modular construction system - you can see that with all the recycled content. It may be economic, but it also prevents innovative development. I get it... Bungie's resources are needed somewhere else. I'm not interested anymore in crafting.

1 ReplyI wouldn’t say expensive, more like excessive. Sooooo time consuming and I hate every moment of crafting, that’s why I only have one crafted weapon….
