Game freezing/crashing on startup or traveling to the tower
Is anyone else having the game freeze at character select or even when going to the tower? I’m worried my account is gonna get banned one day with all these crashes that keep happening.

2 RepliesEdited by JoostAScroob: 7/6/2022 5:10:54 AMAre you using a nVidia GPU? If so, check your driver version. If you have anything past 512.95, roll back your drivers to version 512.95. It has been widely reported that later drivers are causing severe issues with Destiny 2. Also, if you still have issues after doing this, disable the shader cache in the nVidia control panel. I was having a hang/crash on startup issue myself after the most recent Destiny 2 patch despite being on the 512.95 driver and disabling the shader cache fixed the problem for me.
