Loved how straight to the point things were along with the urgency of the characters dialogue. Yeah, the fight did reuses bosses but...
The fact that we got to fight with Caiatl, a story character, for the first time since Red War was amazing and the memories representing the best versions of past characters reborn as aspects of the light viciously attacking Calus is not something Calus OR The Witness could have predicted, and tbh, what else could've harmed Calus?
I was skeptical about the lore surrounding the memories but everything was tied off very nicely, with the memories being weaponized anti thesis to nightmares. The Witness probably doesn't want to use nightmares against us ever again. Big L. Caiatl and Zavala dynamic was great too. A shame we can't replay the mission.

The only points I agree with here are how quick the mission was, as well as “Fighting” with Caitil. I had the feeling of “that’s it?” after completing it, but then again that’s not necessarily new.

2 RepliesIn terms of seasonal ending missions here's my rank. Note not all seasons had ending missions so I won't include those. -Season of Arrivals Nokris fight and Darkness speech. Very cool all around. https://youtu.be/HOFzXtknrvc -Season of the lost xivu arath assault. We got to see a special knight who has cool lore behind him. https://youtu.be/ihLPoSik5EU -Season of Dawn Saint 14 mission.https://youtu.be/VNsrU649cAw -This. It was alright. Even if it didn't make sense lore wise, fighting a darkness infused calus robot being controlled by calus would've been sick. -Season of the splicer ending assault on the city. But quria fight is cool, but not the season ending. It was just a repeat of the seasonal mission. -Proving Grounds and cutscene. Zavala giving his hand to crow is a nice comparison to uldren pointing a gun at cayde. https://youtu.be/vyIHs9zSfn0 -Season of the hunt ending mission. At least we got crow back. The boss was forgettable.https://youtu.be/E3GIg5yLS5M -Season of the undying ending 🤢. A big let down imo. Just a repeat event with a hydra...way to overhyped by bungie. https://youtu.be/uyYh9q0STdI

4 RepliesEdited by Pilotslover: 7/6/2022 5:00:43 AMI thought it was awful. From the get go the plot struck me as uninspired; I’ve seen better explorations of guilt, grief and resolution (heck, the other day I rewatched Arcane, that does it better and it’s not even the main theme). Season of the Splicer had a better conclusion, it also hinted at a surprising fan favourite character being out there somewhere. But hey, if you liked it more power to you, personally wish I’d played something else yesterday though.
